From the Nashville Post:

Preleasing is underway at The Morris, a luxury mixed-use apartment tower nearing construction completion in Midtown and near Music Row at 818 19th Ave. S.

In a release, Florida-based developer LMC said the initial move-ins are anticipated for late summer. LMC is affiliated with Lennar Corp.

The Morris will stand 19 stories and offer 344 apartment units and 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. No retailers have been announced yet. The Nashville office of CBRE is handling marketing and leasing of the retail.

Country music musician Dale Morris once operated his office from a since-razed building on the site.

“It’s an honor that LMC named an apartment community after me, particularly one that so perfectly reflects the beauty and artistry of an industry I dedicated my life to,” Morris said. “Music Row obviously has special meaning for me, and it’s humbling to know that my name will continue to be attached to the location for the foreseeable future.”

i was driving around the city this morning as i usually do on saturday and sunday monrings. i noticed this building from a few blocks away... and had no idea what it was. so i drove up to it, googled the name and found this thread. after realizing what it was, i looked around me noticed how much height there is in the neighborhood and smiled to myself. i love the way our city is growing :D

It amazes me driving through midtown. I mean, I'm constantly amazed by like every neighborhood in Nashville but midtown's vertical growth has been impressive. I was in the parking lot of the 21st avenue Starbucks recently and had a similar "holy crap" moment when I looked around ;)

Midtown's mixed-use building The Morris has changed ownership hands.

According to Metro records, the new owner of the 19-story building is an entity affiliated with, in part, San Francisco-based multifamily real estate investment firm Hamilton Zanze & Company.

Miami-based Lennar Multifamily Communities developed the site with the tower and quitclaim deeded the property to Hamilton Zanze. As such, Metro records list no transaction price.
