  1. I noticed those closings too recently, but man Crabtree was PACKED on Saturday! I don't think it should be too much of a problem filling those locations.
  2. Rumors by people stupidly updating Wikipedia. If it's official, you will hear it here first.
  3. I knew about this. If you saw some of the Wachovia/Duke tower renderings, Bloomingdale's was in some of the street level images.
  4. I don't have high hopes for this. WXLV's last experiment w/ Sinclair Newscetral was a complete failure. It'll be hard to compete with established 2 8 and 12 -- they should rather try a 7:00 PM news instead of another news at 6.
  5. I agree that Charlotte definitely needs another Apple store, with the Triangle having two full stores.
  6. Probably a rumor. Apple would be more suited for Birkdale than Northlake, anyway.
  7. H&M has kinda confirmed they're interested and looking in the Charlotte market still for the best suitable site but it looks like it won't be one of the new store announcements this year.
  8. Ah yes, Climate Control. +1 indoor malls.
  9. Here's what The Container Store will look like when it moves into Joseph-Beth's location.
  10. Interesting the O failed to mention Eastland anywhere in the article. mallguy- I'm willing to bet other malls include Oak Hollow Mall in High Point, Biltmore Square Mall in Asheville
  11. The Shopping Center Group has a big sign trying to get a tenant to fill this spot, specifically labeling the Former Home Depot [Design Center]... I mean as we've speculated, I can't think of much that can fully fill this space, retailer wise, a side from something like Kohl's or a Warehouse Club (Costco, Sam's, BJ's)
  12. Hmmm Lenox Square is getting a Forever 21, I don't see why it would be too "downscale" for SouthPark
  13. That would be ideal. Admittedly, It would be weird not having a department store in Orange County. One could argue that Durham is "close enough," but I've heard residents and students alike say that they don't always like driving to Durham, though.
  14. You're totally right about Chapel Hill's development processes. I think if this was any other city, the development would've probably been a Wal-mart Supercenter by now. Dillard's won't have a Durham/Chapel Hill presence anymore, the closest store being Cary.
  15. Thanks for the searching and info guys!
  16. mmm heelsplitter gumbo, consider me there!
  17. I don't know why they're even bothering with this project... But the Bridges at Mint Hill has a new owner http://www.matthewsminthillweekly.com/news/2010/11/bridges-at-mint-hill-has-new-owner/ called Howard Hudges Development http://www.howardhughes.com/properties/future-developments/the-bridges-at-mount-hill.html This seems poorly written, shows how much they care:
  18. Thank you!! Hope you find something
  19. What did the Belk store look like at this mall? I don't think I've ever seen any photographs of it.
  20. But they do include home items now as a Macy's. Interesting that it is the smallest in the state.
  21. yeah cool - I'd never seen the Lord & Taylor store from that level, makes it feel like it has a proper entrance.
  22. So where do you guys think H&M is headed if The Container Store is coming to SouthPark, I can't see where else there is room at the mall right now.
