Any word on the skyplex vs universal debate?

Roundabout with a fountain like in front of Graffiti Junktion in Thorton Park. I drove down Summerlin today and noticed the brownstones at Summerlin and (I think) Jackson or Church is fully underway.

I think you can care in the negative. For instance, what level of caring is it if I stab you.

But what if I actually want to care less? To feel like a winner, I care least.

Amenities include an olympic swimming pool, tennis court, and bong room.

People will show up from Taft by the truck load.

Glad to see Philly Connection, but provolone should be the default cheese option, not american. That always bothers me.

I like it. It looks much better than the original design a decade ago. The original design incorporated a pedestrian bridge over Anderson. It looks like that will be incorporated in this design as well.

I have a general question. Now that I-4 is under construction, I have seen yellow barriers in the water along the shoreline at Lake Ivanhoe. I have seen these in the past and always wondered about their purpose. What are these and why are they used? Thanks in advance.

When I first glanced at it, I thought they were building a "drive thru" right down the middle of the building. That would be cool (minus the exhaust), but with electric cars, it could work. Like a car wash, you would be able to see kids in the play place and maybe the kitchen (ala Krispy Kreme).

If Crotty is involved, I would bet he has property in there.

It's going to look like a small airport now. I think a small water fountain in the middle of the roundabout would be nicer. I just see weeds growing in about 5 years.

I can envision Parramore Avenue turning into an area similar to the French Quarter in NO.

The roads that cross to Magnolia need to be livelier as well.

According to the map posted by nite owl, the Deerfield development IS next to the Sunrail station. All the confusion is because the Biz Journal article is incorrect.

That whole street will be filled from Lake Ivanhoe to Colonial. Then, it's time to redevelop some of the Magnolia side.

I drove by last night and noticed quite a few columns already erected. Well, the forms were there, but not sure if they were poured yet.

Sigofredo is now open at Mills Nebraska. Gonna have to check out the rooftop cafe.

That is located at The Loop, which is 2 miles from the rail line.

I ate at Beefstro. They didn't make their giardiniera fresh. It was bottled. What's Your Beef makes their giardiniera in house. The vegetables even still retain some crispness to them. I have had Italian Beef in Chicago as well and I found it closer to stuff up there. Just like art. Different people can see the same thing in different ways. In this case, taste things differently. Not sure what will do well in the old Brian's / Elliot's space, but the smaller space attached that was formerly Nora's would make a great place for pizza slices. Just a take out window like Planet Pizza downtown could do well there.

Regarding Chicago sandwiches and pizza. There is a better beef sandwich available at What's Your Beef on Washington in downtown near the police substation. And there is a way to bake a Chicago deep dish pizza faster. I worked at Pizzeria Uno's in another life. We used to make pre-bakes. Basically, you make a pie shell. Two types. One with just cheese in the bottom or one with cheese and sausage. It is already half baked. The pie shells just need to be filled with ingredients and more cheese at the time of ordering. Pizza in 20 minutes (unless the place is slammed).
