This area needs a bodega. I don't know think there will be enough traffic for its own grocery store, but a bodega would fulfill the small daily needs that would supplement weekly or bi-weekly runs to the downtown Publix.

I grew up in eastern PA, so philly cheesesteaks are in my blood. Philly Connection is good. I think their portions are a little light though. I really like LaSpada's in the Lee Road Shopping Center. It is definitely NOT a healthy portion.

I work on the other side of Lake Eola and I will frequent the Philly Connection for lunch.

This is being demolished. I drove by yesterday and noticed that most of the buildings have been flattened.

The Darden Pasta Bowl. HD Supply Stadium Publix Arena Considering JetBlue has a major stake in Orlando and they made news yesterday with the first Airbus being produced in (I believe) Alabama for them... perhaps they might have the deep pockets to sponsor a civic arena. I mention the Airbus production in America, because it shows local if not national pride. -
I used to run out there with Track Shack and YMCA a few years ago and every once in awhile there would be a dog out there giving chase to us. It was fun, but dogs don't have much stamina.

That area is used quite often by people playing soccer / futbol.

I have always called that western part of the map "Delaney" and never even used "Delaney Park"... although I use Delaney Park for tennis and don't forget about Orlando Shuffle on Saturdays.

Since I don't live there, I don't care if it is cool inside that building. If I was walking by that building though, it would be so bright... I gotta wear shades... I gotta wear shades.

Partially due to the shapes, but more so the color selection, this rendering feels bland to me. It being 90 degrees today and looking at this building makes me want to put on sunglasses at my desk.

Second hand, but I heard that the property was usurped (imminent domain) by the city and then used for private venture. If anyone has further information, please clarify.

That looks great for the neighborhood. 4 stories is good to slowly build up to higher buildings in the Uptown core along Magnolia/Orange.

Hopefully, it only perched there for a quick view and not to build a nest. I live in the vicinity, so I will definitely keep an eye on that. -
To me, it looks like an industrialized version of the new Florida Hospital buildings or the Rosen Plaza.

You aren't selling to their emotions in the same way, so you don't need to wow them with new looks. And honestly, most of them are being dumped by their families who don't want to take the time and effort to do the caregiving.

A fence just went up around part of the property fronting Virginia. I would imagine it is to start demo, but I have no connection to the project so I can't verify. -
I saw that too. The argument would be valid if there were accidents caused by the video screen on the arena downtown.
