  1. Technically Eastown but the old Allegro Coaching on Robinson, in the Kingsley building is being transformed to POH co. Pursuit of Happiness company. looks like it is a Wine and cocktail bar. Possibly connected to THE WASSINK DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LLC Could be interesting, a bit hidden but the vibe inside looks nice. It is small and tile everywhere, High ceilings.
  2. Looks like a proposed development right near lake dr. and Robinson rd. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WQdkG_nDkIyUi5erAKBk_7lIf5LnNasG/view?usp=sharing Not sure how the community will receive this, That intersection can be difficult and Robinson is a path for many coming downtown from the east. Robinson already has major issues with traffic speed and lack of pedestrian friendly markings. They will be demoing at least 4 buildings and displacing those businesses. It may be good to drive a bit more foot traffic to that area. I do think that the look is not a great fit and more could be done to fit into the feel of the area.
  3. I have gone in a few times. He used to buy local arts and crafts and antique furniture and mostly would sell to Big city buyers and Designers. Talked to him for a while and he said that he could find amazing pieces here and mark them up a lot to sell to the coasts. I am guessing he is retiring and opening up the space.
  4. Plans finally have been put forward. https://mibiz.com/sections/real-estate-development/chicago-firm-proposes-167-unit-apartment-building-near-downtown-grand-rapids
  5. Yeah, possible a Conveyor Belt Sushi place would fill the lower priced market. But being around the corner will not pull much foot traffic.
  6. Looks like the old Gaia Cafe spot on Diamond will be a New Sushi spot. Not sure how this is a good idea when Maru is just around the corner.
  7. The old Chili's near the Knapp Celebration Cinema will be turned into a Buddy's Pizza
  8. Interior is pretty much a blank slate. Roof needs work and trusses will need cleanup. Biggest buildout will be mechanicals. It is an impressive barrier free space, but the roof does need a lot.

  10. They should buy the building to the west and have the kitchen in there along with a take out counter. They they have the full space for the Garden. ps. this should probably move to the Beer or West side thread.
  11. I agree, The best way to sell that second or third beer is to get me to stay or fill me with some grub so I don't get too buzzed. But with more places, you often see more "bar hopping" so they may help with the route of drinkers stopping at New holland, Jolly Pumpkin, Harmony and now Cedar Springs.
  12. 48 million more. Will that fix It? https://www.grbj.com/articles/94744-grand-castle-receives-483m-loan?utm_content=105863293&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&hss_channel=tw-30311580
  13. East West Brewing Company going away? https://www.grar.com/property/mls/19051539
  14. Knoll moved out of the Mart last year, its a trend.
  15. How will that go over with Unlimited Alternatives next door?
