  1. hmm...seems kind of...vague any time you see the buzzwords 'outside the box', look out!
  2. FYI, all the tickets for the boat show have been claimed, but I'm working on getting free tickets to another event to give away next week.
  3. I've used it quite often. What are you having an issue with?
  4. A new coffeehouse/restaurant is opening near 3 Mile and Plainfield called Cafe Piquant. It looks like they'll be serving pizza and burgers and featuring local artwork on the walls. Supposedly it will open in about two weeks, around March 1st.
  5. I have some free passes to the Boat Show at DeVos this weekend, if anyone is interested. You do have to visit GRNow this time in order to pick them up at the DeVos Place will call window. Click on the Boat show logo anywhere on the site and it'll take you to the form. Otherwise PM your contact information and I'll fill the form out for you.
  6. You have a lot more patience than I do.
  7. Looks the restaurant opening in the Waterfall Shops by Noodles/Moe's/Starbucks is going to be a LongHorn Steakhouse. They have 228 franchises around the country are based in Atlanta.
  8. Holy crap, UP is so much faster. This is great!
  9. By the way, for everyone I have a bunch of golf show passes for the weekend. If you'd like a pair, private message your name and address and I'll drop them in the mail for you.
  10. It has seemed a bit slow, but I think it's relative to how busy it was not too long ago. There haven't been any huge development announcements or overly controversial issues for the past few days. I'm sure as soon as something big happens, more people will be back.
  11. Has anyone been to the Grand Rapids City Special Briefing Sessions held monthly at City Hall? Apparently they're held at 10:30 a.m. and are open to the public. What kind of information to they present at these meetings? The next one is February 21. Full list. I'd be interested in going, but would like to know what to expect.
  12. Amazing difference. The completed sidewalk and street help, too.
  13. sounds good, I'm in! you're lucky I'm actually on my way to Eastown right now.
  14. Wow, what an improvement. I really enjoy those before and after shots. Great rehab!
  15. yeah, i'm not the best either. I am looking forward to going to the driving range, though. I like Scott's over by the Cascade Meijer the best . Are there any other decent ones around?
  16. There will be a free ticket giveaway again next week for the Golf Show, if you're interested. It looks like there may be a different giveaway every week until at least May.
  17. You're lucky, I ran out already on the site, but I have two extra. I'll drop them in the mail for you. Thanks GRDad. Actually the Grand Rapids Magazine came out today and has a nice article by Wozniak about the Heartside district. It's such an interesting area and I think the story captures that well.
  18. No problem about the tickets. Funny you should mention the auto show, I just took some sneak peak photos: By the way twoshort, they don't have either prototype you mentioned at this show. I asked specifically about the Challenger because the Gilmore museum has about a '70 on display. They do have two Chargers, though. I also have a few more shots and a full article here. Rizzo, just for you, a few tickets are still left on the site here. I think only one or two sets of 2 are left.
  19. For something smaller, I've been very happy with the Canon SD450. I haven't quite gotten the hang of nighttime photos, but other than it's taken great shots and is very easy to carry around. Overall, I would recommend any Canon product.
  20. Yeah, I think it's about $80 round trip per passenger and over $100 if you bring your car. Flying is definitely faster, especially from GR. By the time you drive to the ferry in Muskegon and they load everyone on, it's still a 2.5 hour ride. Flights are normally about 30 mins.
  21. They do, Midwest flies from GRR to Milwaukee about 4 times per day. Usually tickets are between $140 and $190.
  22. Holy crap, that's a lot. Way too much for only 2,600 sq ft., even if it is EGR.
  23. Remember Prodigy? Your account number was also your email address. And if you wanted to add people you assigned them the next letter in alphabet. So the main one would be [email protected] and then other family members or whoever would have [email protected], [email protected], etc. I remember mine started 8 something. It's hard to believe that was more than 10 years ago.
