Nashville International Airport Development thread

Wow! Happily surprised. Of course I’m a big fan of Tony and give him a huge amount of credit for jumpstarting the downtown building boom in Nashville but I’ve been skeptical of this tower happening for a few reasons. The biggest one being the lead time. I sure hope it doesn’t meet the same timing fate as Signature. Sorry. Positivity! Carry on.

My favorite and one of the most underrated views downtown. -
That’s how wars are started.

William’s article mentions “apparently to rise 36 floors” which won’t get you to 650’ or 680’ without a really nice “speyer” or Tishman for that matter. Do “we” know or still in the heavy speculation phase?

Funny but Bridgestone is another example of a height being incorrectly reported and sticking. I know, I know it’s only height, right? I’m just in a mood today. My guess is 514’.

But who is expecting/speculating it to rise 575’? Numbers get thrown around especially early on and then those numbers stick. That’s how buildings like 5/3 go for years listed as 55’ taller than they really are.

Where does the 575’ number come from? I don’t have a subscription. Is that in the permit?

Congrats! Great pic. IF built, The Tony Tower will make a nice centerpiece, especially IF Reed and Beaman are built out. -
What an incredible forum meet today! I left with my head spinning. I think we’re going to have to make a rule that we don’t “waste” time discussing anything under 25 stories, less than 200 mil or fewer than three towers (unless over 600’). As a matter of fact, with all the insider info that the Magic 8 Ball drop today, the infill currently under construction is a snooze fest in comparison. Honestly, it was getting a little embarrassing listening to Ron, Taylor and William go ON and ON and ON about this huge development and that new tallest and this other huge investment group…their detective skills are truly impressive. How I miss the good old days when a single 10 story stucco shorty kept us riveted to UP for weeks. I can only say…It’s all Tony’s fault. In all seriousness though , for those who couldn’t make it today, there wasn’t really anything new revealed. You know everything…
