Hawaii was completely overmatched, and I was afraid that was going to happen. I thought their offense would at least keep it close, but Georgia's defense proved to be too good. USC-Illinois was similar. Illinios QB Juice Williams is good, but the rest of the squad can't really play at the elite level just yet. USC freshman Joe McKnight is going to be a star. How about Michigan knocking off Florida? Given Michigan's problems with mobile quarterbacks, that was a surprise. Lloyd Carr goes out a winner at U-M.

I think this is a great hire for Michigan. Rodriguez can get those players, but its going to take some time for Michigan to contend again if they are gonna run a spread-option right out of the gate. Michigan doesn't have the players for that right now, but if he can load up with those guys over the next few years, they will dominate the Big-10. I think he'll have a much easier time recruiting those guys to Michigan than he would at West Virginia, simply because, well, its Michigan.

Now I'm not really a Patriots fan, but man oh man is their offense ever good. Second half against the Steelers yesterday, it looked like they were playing against a junior college team. They could do whatever they wanted. And Dallas pulled out an ugly win, and in the process ripped the hearts out of the 6 or 7 Lions fans left in the state.

College football's longest active in streak is snapped at 40 games on Saturday, as NW Missouri State beat Grand Valley State in the Division II semi-finals.
  5. No, it doesn't work in IE either. Actually, IE gives me a little error triangle icon on the bottom left.
  6. Is anyone else having problems with REGIS' IMS parcel finder service? The picture doesn't load on either of my computers.

A fitting end to the season, #1 Missouri and #2 West Virginia lost last night, meaning no one has a clue who will play in the BCS title game. Ohio State is in, and will probably play one of the seven other teams who can make a case for going: Georgia, Kansas, Virginia Tech, LSU, USC, Oklahoma and Hawaii. Personally, I think the team to play Ohio State oughta be a team who actually won a BCS conference, which leaves us with Virginia Tech, LSU, USC or Oklahoma. But Virginia Tech got crushed by LSU and USC lost to Stanford, so they are out. LSU lost their 2 games in 6 overtimes, and Oklahoma just beat the crap of the #1 team, so I would say either Oklahoma or LSU should play Ohio State. But.... Oklahoma lost to 6-6 Colorado and if not for a few crazy gambles, LSU could easily be 8-4. Anyone else want to take a shot at figuring this out? Hey, maybe its time for an 8-team playoff

A rematch between NE and Dallas would be interesting. Philly definitely exposed some weaknesses in NE, and I would like to see if Dallas could try and exploit them.
  10. Yes, it varies greatly depending on the location. In rural areas, 1 or 2 homes per acre is "high density". In more suburban areas, high density is usually more along the lines of 6-10 homes (or "units") per acre.

I think we are going to see Missouri lose to Oklahoma and get a National Title game with Ohio State vs W Virginia. Oregon lost, which means if USC beats archrival UCLA they will win the Pac-10 for the 6th year in a row
  12. Yuck indeed. Now all they gotta do is add some metal bars and plywood to the windows, and we'll be all set.

Michigan coach Lloyd Carr retired this morning... now the Les Miles speculation will run rampant. new BCS standings. I dont think Kansas will make it to the title game. I'm thinking we'll see LSU-WVU, but the way things have been going, predicting may be a futile endeavor. 1. LSU 2. Kansas 3. West Virginia 4. Missouri 5. Ohio State 6. Arizona State 7. Georgia 8. Virginia Tech 9. Oregon 10. Oklahoma

Wow, #2 Oregon lost and QB Dixon got hurt. If they drop one more and if USC beats ASU and UCLA, USC would get yet another Pac-10 title. Of course, Oregon still has the inside track to the Rose Bowl, but without the QB they appear to be a very beatable team.

Which does everyone think is more likely? The Pats going undefeated and winning the Super Bowl at 19-0 or the Dolphins going 0-16?

Surprise, surprise, another big upset this weekend. #1 Ohio State falls at home to unranked Illinois 28-21. Sorry ohioianinSC. That vaunted OSU could not stop Illinois QB Juice Williams as he ran for first down after first down in the 4th quarter. Elsewhere, Michigan loses to Wisconsin, Nebraska suddenly wakes up and hangs 73 points on Kansas State behind 500+ yards and 7 TDs from their backup QB!

New BCS standings. I am pretty comfortable with the top 5 right now, except that LSU isn't really inspiring a lot of confidence, and I am not sure what to make of Kansas. But they are undefeated, so they should at least be #4, if not higher. I would really like to see a BCS title game with Oregon taking on Ohio State or LSU...I wonder if anyone can slow down Oregon's offense and QB Dennis Dixon. USC has probably fared the best so far, but the Ducks still ran up over 300 years of offense and beat them. 1. Ohio State 2. LSU 3. Oregon 4. Kansas 5. Oklahoma 6. Missouri 7. West Virginia 8. Boston College 9. Arizona State 10. Georgia
  20. I'm not too high on the building either. I like the roof, but those little windows just scream "1960's bunker" to me.

2 more undefeateds go down last night, Arizona St losing to Oregon and BC losing to Florida State. How about Kansas hanging 76 on Nebraska!
  22. I saw that earlier and had the same thought. It looks like one of those towers in Southfield. Blech.

I think Ohio State impressed a lot of people on Saturday. I was expecting them to win because Penn State just isn't that good, but I was thinking it would be a little closer than that. But to be honest, until last weekend, the only semi-decent teams they had faced were (now 7-2) Purdue, and (now 5-4) Michigan State. I don't know if they are the best team in the nation, but they should be the #1 team if they keep winning. I think a lot of people still remember OSU storming through last season only to get trounced by Florida in the title game. They can't let that happen again. BTW, did anyone watch the game and see the "white-out" in the PSU student section? Awesome! And talk about no respect, what about Arizona State? They're 8-0 and can't even crack the top 5 in the AP, USA Today OR Harris Polls. However, if they beat Oregon this weekend (which I don't see happening), then we'll see a lot of silenced critics.
