  1. Annndddd… back to the thread topic. There’s a lot of good stuff happening on Pendleton. I’m really excited to see how the city wants to better connect to West Greenville. Academy is a beast of a road to bridge. I’m also hopeful that the state property on Pendleton will get redeveloped in the near future with some mixed use buildings. All in all, there’s good stuff happening in the west end!
  2. …anyways….back to the thread topic. Anyone have renderings of the proposed changes to Pendleton?
  3. I'm annoyed too. That was 90% of the benefits of this project. The NIMBYs strike again. Without the road diet, cars are going to continue to speed through there making it unsafe for pedestrians and bikes.
  4. There was something in either a city social media post or a city council update, that said that the bridge is progressing and even showed a tentative design. I'll see if I can find that.
  5. Looks like the city is working to annex most of the cherrydale area https://www.greenvillesc.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/_02122024-3679
  6. Wow. I really like this. Great infill!
  7. I prefer option two with the physically separated bike paths. It does cut down one travel lane but WH isn’t busy enough to really justify having 3 lanes in each direction.
  8. Definitely some exciting stuff. I’m skeptical of the median multiuse path though. Just seems difficult for pedestrians and cyclists to actually access it.
  9. This is what the West End Neighborhood Association said recently. I’m assuming they mean construction to start in Q1 or Q4 of 2024. Or maybe opening in 2025. Either way this is still happening. ”SunCap Mixed-use Project: Is in final development stages and will break ground soon. They anticipate opening in Q1-Q3 of '24. Parking Deck will support residents and business within the project but will also provide 125 additional parking spaces for the Drive and public. Retail users will include the Drive's new retail store. Restaurants and other retailers have not yet been announced.”
  10. Thanks! Anyone know when the orange line extension will open?
  11. Except most of the airport is in Spartanburg County....and none of the airport is in the City of Greenville. ...
  12. There was definitely half a dozen guys with hard hats on walking around the site this morning. Probably just some preliminary site work.
  13. Workers onsite this morning. Hopefully that means construction is coming soon.
