Maybe they're still wrangling with the historic commission over how to restore them.

Maybe they have the money maybe they dont. majah league sacah had it's hand out too until they were forced to pay for it themselves. At this point sacah is on the level of lacross and rugby.- 457 replies

Nah. NASCAR fans make good money and spend it as well. Plus they're not engaged in criminality. There are events and their demos that literally wreck other cities they occur in.- 457 replies

The State of Tennessee really came through with those incentive payouts.

Sounds like a good place for the Cannery Ballroom, High Watt and Mercy Lounge. -
Someone must have made a mistake on the Park Place thread. They said the SP was for that project.

Inner Loop - CBD, Downtown, East Bank, Germantown, Gulch, Rutledge

Not really. They see they're in the next hip hangout area. They see the potential. They're right next door to Heavens Door, Recess, etc. -
Why would Frist Arts, Cumberland Science, NMAAM need to be together? People see more of the city's areas when attractions aren't clumped together.

Spec office building isn't an anomaly. Neuhoff, One City, Circle South, Broadwest, The Moore, Gulch Union, One 22 One are all spec developments.

Nashville Republican & Democratic convention 2024!???
Argo replied to smeagolsfree's topic in Nashville Coffee House
It's good the State of Tennessee is breaking out the belt on the Nashville council. They have their hands out to the state all day every day for incentives etc. If they want to play liberal child politics then they should pay the price. The money given to Nashville should be greatly reduced and given to Knoxville and northeast Tennessee. What other conventions will the liberal children sabotage because their miserable existences revolve around nothing but politics? It will happen again to other conventions the nimrods don't like. The state is right to use the belt and stop this before it starts. -
People actually looked at this as some sort of inditement on the city when in actualness it was nothing more than a cash grab. Did people really think the city would sign off on tax and financial compensation? Especially the current mayor and the sport of soccer. If the tourism bureau believed that saying "hey we're Nashville, people have a good time here and that's good for your organization", then they need to be relieved of duty. FIFA knows the soccer goons are going to come irregardless of where the games are played. Their mindset is "blank you! pay us!"

So Kansas City has a soccer stadium and Nashville doesn't? How is that so?
-
Nashville probably didn't offer a bribe. The World Cup is no different than the Olympics who get bought off all the time.
-
They say in the article that the court case delays are costly. I wonder how many more court cases this project and 2nd ave south will take before one or both throw in the towel.
