  1. Agreed. Even if Acrisure decided to build there, I hoped it would be expanded to include more residential on top of the office space. Depending on what happens at Market/Fulton, the center of the skyline may really move south very quickly
  2. As far as I know, the building plan next door is no more. I've HEARD they are planning something elsewhere. Likely Market/Fulton
  3. Looks like this thing is just about topped off. They are working on the last two floors, which are offset from the east and west.
  4. Well, this is disappointing https://wgrd.com/moosejaw-store-closings/?fbclid=IwAR19voNshqwZBdLm3ron6KkuoBEH3NLPl7NsTph0WaK_wbTT4N2rFqM5WTs
  5. Bingo. My wife and I have one kid, and that's enough. All the other factors have made us realize that one is going to be challenging enough with the current state of our country
  6. Nothing much has changed. Just a new perspective. I can't help but wonder if the lot/old house that's kitty corner to this will be developed soon. I'd really like to see housing there for a cohesive intersection, but I'm sure it's going to be related to the medical.
  7. https://www.crainsgrandrapids.com/news/real-estate/developer-eyes-mixed-use-project-on-grand-rapids-supermarket-property/ This would be really nice for that intersection. Adding density to major intersections outside the downtown core is something I'd like to see a lot more of.
  8. Is anything going on with the Candied Yam on Division? I drive past this project several times a week, and it seems like nothing has happened in months now.
  9. As someone who has recently recaught the golf bug, heck yeah. You could probably do a mini golf course in there. Might be smaller, but I think it could be done
  10. Has anything been said about the apartments that were proposed a while back on Alabama? Here, I think?
  11. Talked to the owner of downtown nutrition yesterday and they are closing at years end.
  12. From under Wealthy. It's definitely popping. I hope another high rise goes in nearby to fill in the skyline gap between Plaza and SP.
  13. The other thing is they are planning on having employees park at the zoo and shuttle them on once the project at Market/Fulton gets started. Maybe building a new ramp that's large and could accommodate their employees and guests would be best
  14. I'm not too sure what the plan is for the Amway ramp. It was in REALLY rough shape when I worked there and I know they spent millions to repair it. But even after the repairs, it was like a bandaid and a kiss on the cheek to treat a gun shot wound. It's functional, but it's time has come. The location there is so prime for them to build a new ramp with air rights (maybe all their offices? Maybe the convention hotel?)
  15. The Louis Campau ramp was rumored to be torn down soon for something mixed use. That was what I had been told when I worked at AHC. However, my new career is more connected, and let's just say that rumor is not true. I keep seeing smaller surface lots and hoping for something to happen. The wedge lot on Fulton and Ionia was going to be awesome when it was developed with that tower, but that project sadly died.
  16. No. It's ghost stories, really. Still, just reading about it made me look at the building a different way, even though I knew it wasn't real
  17. I don't know, but a weird anecdote about this building. Several years ago, on Reddit, this building was rumored to be a hub of human trafficking and other extremely nefarious claims. I'm sure it's all bunk, but a fun read none the less. https://www.reddit.com/r/RBI/comments/cw1efk/what_is_going_on_at_this_abandoned_diner_in_grand/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=1
