  1. It absolutely will engage the Light Rail better. Much much better.
  2. I honestly can't see a scenario where the bus is built without at least the retail podium and a residential tower, with phasing in place for a second, and third tower.
  3. Building Elevations are no longer downloadable on the planning site, they haven't been for a couple of years. I've voiced my frustration with this for a while to the planning department.
  4. Not to complicate things further but that rendering is 40 floors, and they announced 45. Edit: Not to COMPLICATE IT MORE but I found the approved planning document that called the residential tower at 417 and the Office Tower at 535, and we all know that's definitely not right, considering the renderings.
  5. You see, your argument is exactly why I think we do need some additional neighborhood delineations. I don't think Dilworth wants to claim what's happening on Morehead Street as their's because it certainly does not match the character of Dilworth. The same can be said for Cherry and Elizabeth, the character of those neighborhoods are not reflected in CPCC, Metropolitan the hospital districts, and Elizabeth avenue (does Elizabeth have TWO CBDs?), This diagram addresses current growth patterns and helps brand areas that fall into gray areas into a more cohesive brand story, while letting those core neighborhoods retain their character and uniqueness.
  6. Yea I was thinking to make sure it doesn't go through the heart of The Pearl
  7. I was wrong about ongoing litigation, the owner is in jail. https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndga/pr/owners-currency-exchange-business-made-600-million-convicted-fraud
  8. Now that we have confirmed that the tower is being poured separately, I can confidently say that this has a shot to top out by December.
  9. Nah, it won't have a negative impact, Camp is on the verge of actually having 500+ people living there, and have some office leases on the horizon. I don't think negative impact is a thing CNE can feel. I will also say there will be an opportunity coming to possibly expand the space L&L is in, but it'll come in the next 18-24 months.
  10. ongoing litigation of some sort is what I've always heard. I wish they'd sell to someone that would do something great with it. No more of this garden style stuff.
  11. One is tied with White Point Partners and their CTC station development. The other is looking for a 99 year land lease
  12. There at least was a line item on the CDOT budget for a bridge at Euclid Avenue one day across 277, I would imagine this would require removing this substation. nope, there is no permits filed either
  13. God I hope he somehow still lurks on this page.
  14. No telling, its still in the rezoning process. I vote on it on Tuesday and then it goes to City Council.
  15. Going on WSOC to respond to Speaker Moore's comments, so send your well wishes and any verbal ammo you have.
  16. how wild is that? lol. Still blows my mind I've been on this site that long
  17. Theres someone that posts on this page that is working on the engineering on this project, so its very much so in progress.
  18. Elizabeth Avenue should be our South Congress Street. The other opportunity and its already starting to happen is this area.
  19. There is some strange grading in this area that will need to be fixed, but I think this is doable.
  20. This is fantastic extra context to "but boomed during a time when people were tearing down historical architecture, unlike the other three cities which had their booms much more contemporarily when history was saved."
