Childress Klein/Ram South End Tower - Lowe's anchored (23 floors - 357')

The Lowe's tower would have a major impact on any skyline between Baltimore and Atlanta, except for Charlotte. I love its location. South End alone is starting to rival Columbia, Durham, or Greensboro at this point.- 740 replies

I have a feeling an announcement is imminent for this parcel. Historically it’s been packed with tractor trailers but over the past few weeks it’s been thinning out. I ran by tonight and it was completely void of trucks. Smack dab between the Parkwood and 25th stops...!

It would replace administrative offices that would be relocated off site.

I've heard there's talk of a new admirals club going in above the atrium food court. TBD.

I'm sure an apartment building will go here. BUT if the developer has some vision and spent the money... a rooftop restaurant would be incredible in this location. Amazing skyline views and then wonderful park views/setting of Cordelia.

Groundcrew is an amazing studio for VO and radio spots. When I worked in advertising, we used them all the time. Great group of people, neat studio, and they don't need to go anywhere just because they appear out of place now? They have been there for years.

No. A/C screening (lack thereof) looks the same. And looks terrible.

Labor shortage due to MARGINALIZED people not wanting to RISK THEIR LIVES FOR POVERTY WAGES because they’re PROVIDING more at home EARNING unemployment. Smart. I find it easier to not judge the decision making or circumstances of people I don’t know and probably can’t relate to. Every person and every business has responded differently the last 13 months. I think EVERYONE from every background deserves a little grace. I know several people who have died from COVID - and I can’t blame anyone for not wanting to risk their lives to make minimum wage. Once everyone is eligible for the vaccine, and we’re all vaccinated...Then by all means, let’s get back to work. -

You want to remove the only grocery store in the area? Help me understand why. I know Wayne’s isn’t hip like Camp North End, and it’s a vestige of the character and community these neighborhoods used to have... But I don’t consider demolishing a grocery store progress. Especially one that serves segments of our lower-income populations who are reliant on affordable and close-proximity food options. Ridiculous.- 621 replies

Pre-covid, I heard rumors of a tower slated for the Enterprise lot. Last I heard, it's still slowly moving forward/on the back burner, but rumors are rumors. 400'+

Latest rendering (I think): Present below. To me, it looks like there's going to be a much larger plaza now compared to the rendering. Which I assume Sycamore will utilize for outdoor seating. Deck is also much larger in real life. Deck screening is going to be very important here - will make or break the aesthetics of this project, in my mind. Original rendering (out-of-date). I LOVED this version but understand why VE updates were made.
