  1. Minimum wage in each of the world's five biggest economies. China - $1.27/hr United States - $7.25/hr India - $0.27/hr Japan - $8.14/hr Germany - $14.68/hr
  2. This is what REAL pizza looks like! I had a couple slices of this pizza for dinner tonight. This is from Little City Pizza in Avon, CT. I would consider this a "New Haven style" pizza. Toppings nearly to the edges. Edges lightly charred. Thin crust. Sauce made in house. High quality toppings. I grew up in Connecticut, and this is what I was missing when I lived in Florida. Connecticut is finally starting to get recognized for it’s amazing pizza.
  3. DeSantis signs bill banning lab-grown meat in Florida Article: https://www.wtnh.com/news/national/desantis-signs-bill-banning-lab-grown-meat-in-florida/?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_medium=referral&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2AJtXBxIOah6vYAc9EK4KtNwBGqn9ofZ175cvGd0CuQmzv-GWaWOT9IXs_aem_Ab7ULo0rOr13AwIQ8Is0JnjUbeV-3WQsGJDMJRWr0eJUL2c-rIz-Hl002x09zzx5uSmUBrELSYdpzU7ppPGs89xr On the surface this sounds like a good thing, but it isn't. Just like people mindlessly think GMO is bad even though it's saved millions of people around the world from starvation. People can just choose not to eat lab grown meat. No need for the government to ban it. - Lab grown meat doesn't contain potentially deadly bacteria like meat directly from animals. - Lab grown meat doesn't require animals to be killed. - Lab grown meat eliminates the need for mass deforestation for livestock grazing. - Livestock produce massive amounts of CO2 and greatly contribute to climate change. Lab grown meat would greatly reduce the need for livestock. And still, lab grown meat is still REAL animal meat with the same exact taste. Lab grown meat is grown from real animal cells. We need to transition to lab grown meat for the reasons I listed above

  6. No. Medicaid is a federal program that is operated by the states. Again, this may change once the rescheduling from 1 to 3 takes effect.
  7. Some of those buildings feel pretty tall when you stand next to them, but objectively, DTO's buildings are rather short and unimpressive.
  8. Yes. Marijuana is currently a schedule 1 drug which means (among other things) that it has no federally recognized medical use which means that it can't be prescribed as medicine until the rescheduling to schedule 3 takes effect. States with legal medical marijuana are currently doing so against federal law.
  9. I think we have to just accept that DTO will never be a place for very tall buildings. The best we can hope for is consistent development of buildings that at least seem tall standing next to them at ground level. Also, density will be very important as well.
  10. One big thing to note about marijuana being schedule 3 is that means it now has accepted medical use according to the federal government. This will make it significantly easier for researchers to study marijuana's potential medical benefits and uses as moving to schedule 3 removes a lot of the government red tape. Additionally, rescheduling marijuana to schedule 3 means that marijuana companies can now officially take federal tax deductions that they’ve been barred from under an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code known as 280E.

  17. The amount of fake news on Facebook is mind blowing. This "news" article was on my feed for some reason. It claims someone who sang the "black national anthem" was fined $1 billion by the NFL for doing so. Regardless what your feelings are about there being a "black national anthem," you would have to be a potato to actually think someone would get fined such an outlandish amount of money FOR ANYTHING! I don't think any person or company has ever been fined that much money in human history.
  18. I just think they're scumbags. They own Amway which is a scummy scam of a company. I also hate what they've done with the OMEC situation. I also don't like that Betsy DeVos was the former Education Secretary; although, to be fair, Trump is the one who gave her that position.
  19. Remember. This is the DeVos family we're talking about. They're scumbags.
