  1. Looks like way more of a sit-down restaurant than Sabor. I'm skeptical of the "all Asian styles in one" but reviews in other cities seem strong, should be an exciting addition.
  2. I *think* they do now. Previously, Heist along with many others were using a mobile canning line in a truck which shows up when you need to can one-offs like they were previously releasing.
  3. I imagine they didn't invest capital in a fixed canning line only to not use it.
  4. Consider going to Rai Lay, it's excellent. Everything else on that row...well, definitely excited to see what will replace the Stache House
  5. I can confirm that walk is extremely bad. You basically have to go around on the street, in an industrial park. Much better to just go from 36th.
  6. Superica location is 1000x better (and I'd rate the food as equal but haven't been to Pacos in a while, it was def my previous favorite)
  7. Yeah I don't get why they're doing the nachos like that, they said it was Texas-style (guy next to me got them and they explained this when he was ordering them). Will say the steak in the steak tacos was excellent.
  8. First day lunch not at all, probably half to 2/3 full - it's very large. I'd say if you're there at 5pm you'll be good to go.
  9. Went there for lunch today, it's very good. Operating at a high level already on the first day.
  10. Surprised to see this, but then if you read the article it seems to mention they're still looking for investors - so I wouldn't say this is necessarily a done deal. Hard to really see where they fit in to the larger landscape, though maybe they sell better at distro than I'd expect?
  11. Posting this article originally would have been a whole lot more helpful, especially considering the author was in this thread saying to Google it...
  12. Everything about this concept, much like everything Bottle Cap Group touches, was completely moronic and heavy-handed. Not expecting Bottle Cap Group to do better much next time around, though maybe they won't spend so much on a gaudy renovation. Hmm, interesting. Saw them renovating this recently and wondered what was going on; that area seems like a bit of a dead zone overall.
  13. I've never seen more than a couple people in there, don't really understand how it made sense there. Also, yesterday was at Lenny Boy and Studio Cellar people seemed to be in there with like 20-30 people painting, it said they're moving to somewhere near Sycamore but I'm not sure of the location. This spot has a ton of potential so hopefully something good moves in.
  14. I believe they've already come out with another estimated opening, Observer article I found said May, that they'll probably miss by a mile.
  15. I wouldn't say Legion feels counter-culture, you might see some hipsters in there but overall it's fairly mainstream both in appeal and style.
  16. It's very good. Bread is outstanding, and based on that, the sandwich I had was also great.
  17. Who is in charge of this effort? Really bad idea, IMO.
  18. Blue Blaze doesn't seem to be doing very well - I go there somewhat frequently and it's never crowded. Also, they're looking for another $1 million in investment.
  19. I would read that as they'll be installing a system in the South Park location and brewing only mixed culture beers on it (so as not to cross-contaminate)
  20. I'm glad Braxton is on the city council instead of you.
  21. The site where this was pulled from said 1994, which seemed unbelievable - but then I looked at the cars. That looks like a ~92-94 Camry in the front there, that white Grand Am to the right is also an early 90s model.
  22. This would be a really cool spot for a restaurant, and I'm not just saying that cause I live down the street. Something like this great place in Charleston, which was also an auto repair shop, and is kind of on a major street, would be amazing. http://leonsoystershop.com/
  23. I like it! How much space does Ally have in their current building, will this be a significant upgrade for them?
  24. Kabob Je is outstanding (Lebanese here)
  25. Good Bottle also had a few of these last week, really good stuff - looking like they'll be one of the top handful of CLT breweries based on those beers at least.
