  1. I perused yesterday on Davaris' website for listing (not loopnet) and of all the Town Center space listings, block 2 tower was not listed. Why? But (a little tid bit), on the main Town Center listing (not of individual buildings) the focus was on block 9 with rendered angles I had not yet seen before and a map in PDF of TC showed the grass in front of Sandler center as "Sander Center Expansion". Just some things I noticed.
  2. I don't believe that is correct. The EVMS building looks like it's on the corner of Colley and Bramelton in front of the brick parking garage, yea?
  3. I remember when the tower was first going up, the future development had something to do with the Virginia Symphony.
  4. Check out the Hyatt at night. It has a neat little LED accent that makes it pop out among the hotels down there. I noticed it last night. I didn't snap a pick though.
  5. It think sizable garages and a better ingress/egress from the interstate are a must if they are going to build an arena.
  6. Not to shoot down both of your locations but buildings are going up at the old HQ site and the mall is reinventing itself as of last year opening an REI, Fresh Market (Organicy Grocery store) and, Nordstrom Rack, DSW shoes. This year they opened a J. Crew Mercantile, and are creating a new entrance for a relocated Coase Edge as well as a recent announcement for a new unnamed dept store. The plans for the Uptown Alley have stalled. Though, they could always use the underutilized parking lot for developement and the soon-to-close K-Mart across the street is eyeing redevelopment. There are also pipe-dream renderings of a redesigned Pembroke Office Park on this forum too.
  7. They had those lights up for Christmas. I guess they kept them up.
  8. They need to invest in proper parking garages and ingress/egress from the interstate so it doesn't gridlock the oceanfront when there is a event.
  9. If you haven't been past it, a quite obvious orange tower crane is now doing it's thing on site.
  10. We originally discussed it here-
  11. For those of you who don't get the pilot, I saw this ad today:
  12. Deep breath- "Zeider's American Dream Theater and Cabaret lounge public plaza retail restaurants and trendy apartments with a cool pedestrian bridge"
  13. That, and the new roller coaster at Busch Gardens going up right now!
  14. Blue Moon Brewing Co. to create first-of-its-kind venue in Waterside. http://pilotonline.com/business/consumer/blue-moon-brewing-company-slated-to-join-waterside-district-with/article_a2c7be78-856c-5a12-b5d4-d4bde9a4fc28.html
  15. I went up to the Lynnhaven Mall parking deck to see the air show for a bit and snapped this pic to confirm Maggie's if there was still any doubt.
  16. It's a restaurant with a logo of a femal WWII pilot, if I remember correctly. They're from Maryland,I think
  17. Here's an announcement and info on the Veteran's Care Facility. https://www.yesvirginiabeach.com/media/pages/article.aspx?release=253
  18. It's all good. We're having a friendly conversation here. I don't hold any personal stake in my assumption. We'll all find out eventually. :-)
  19. That long middle section is not a road that looks part of the tower complex. Look at the 3D rendering. It's raised. Why would they put an urban mall in the city hall area when there is already an urban mall a block away. I hope it is in downtown for the urban-ness of it, but many elements say Military Circle to me. 1. The "Urban Mall" 2. The urban grid vision redevelopment of the Military Mall area in the recently publish "Vision" 3. The future light rail stop in future said area. 4. The recent mission to build more inland instead of in the shorelines to protect further development from rising waters. 5. The light rail stop at city hall is not perpendicular to the lot available to build this development. It's comes across the courthouse plaza at an angle to the block. waddauthink?
  20. As I mentioned a few posts ago, I would start thinking Military Circle.
  21. Thinking out of the box a bit ('cause I can't see anywhere in DT it could go)- after seeing the Norfolk 2025 vision (or whatever year that was), I'm thinking Miltary Circle mall redevelopment. It's has "retail mall" components in the site plan and they are envision light rail to go from Newtown- down K'ville-between the Barry Robinson Center and St. Mary's Home-thru Mil. Circle Mall and down Mil. Circle Rd. You have your mall, light rail component, office and new town center design for that area's redevelopment.
