  1. Well said, Smeags. Vanderbilt brought me and my family and we stayed. All three of my children are Belmont grads, and my SIL and DIL. I have been a part of the Fisk community in the past. Nashville has a solid mix of colleges and universities that attracts a mix of students. In addition to the public universities (my son has a Masters from UT College of Social Work), we have excellent Christian universities and one of the top private universities in the country. And these schools are excelling, the latest example being TSU getting an ice hockey program.
  2. Hi-Wire Brewing in Asheville, NC, has a page for their coming location in Nashville. The "Opening May 2023" date is a little off. This and Marble Fox Brewing gives us two new craft breweries opening in the neighborhood in the next few months. https://hiwirebrewing.com/nashville/
  3. There seems to be a full team on site every day now that the crane is fixed. If they're adding a floor every 4 weeks or so, they could top out in October.
  4. Looking back at the renderings on page 1 of this thread, this location is about where some ramps will be in the garage. The elevators are near the northeast corner of the lot. From 9 PM tonight to 7 AM tomorrow, NES is shutting down power to Terrazzo so that Society Nashville's power can be connected underground. Many residents here are upset about it, but there's not much to be done about it.
  5. @natethegreat, do I recall you posting a few years ago about moving from building to building to get a free month or two? Maybe you should write reviews of the various buildings.
  6. The latest from Terrazzo's building manager is that blasting is finished for this project. Excavation will continue through June. Concrete pouring will begin on July 5. Could that spot in the middle of this pic be where the crane will go?
  7. Yates told the Terrazzo building manager that they will blast at least once a day until mid-June. Actually, they've been blasting twice a day. For the last few days, the dump trucks are sometimes waiting on Division as lots of rock and dirt are carried off site. The exterior wall is progressing nicely. At the bottom of the photo, you can't see that the excavation is down to the third level of parking in Terrazzo. The sewer work in the street has progressed from in front of Otaku Ramen and is now almost to the property line of A+ Storage. I'm guessing this same line will be used by the building to go up there in a few months.
  8. While making small talk with the clerk at the Green Hills TJ's last night, she mentioned that the employees were told there would be a TJ's downtown. She didn't recall where it would be but I was immediately reminded of these posts from a year ago. Perhaps I should talk up the manager next time I'm at TJ's. Has anyone else heard an update?
  9. The "Coming Soon" signs in the window of Upbeet are probably two years old now. It's nice to see a Bobcat in there moving some gravel around! There is work taking place inside Bar Louie across the street.
  10. The water/sewer work continues on this one. For the second night in a row only one lane is open on Division and two traffic control people are down there all night. Based on the pace of work, this may not get cleared up until this weekend, at best. The traffic really backs up during rush hour so keep that in mind when choosing to drive through The Gulch.
  11. The number of officers has not kept pace with the population growth in Davidson County. So, our officer per capita ratio is far behind where it was a few years ago.
  12. That's good intel, applebees615, like @smeagolsfree on one of his Saturday strolls. I hope Highwoods starts work on this site before the new Broadway viaduct is completed in late 2023.
