https://www.nashvillepost.com/news/2015/2/20/any_redevelopment_of_our_60_acres_will_happen_organically Here's a follow-up interview with Willie and the developer from Chicago (off the pay wall now). Mr Allen is already endearing himself to us eastsiders...here's some snippets from the interview... Chicago-based real estate investor Don Allen is targeting a 60-acre site on Nashville’s east bank for a massive mixed-use development to be called, tentatively, The North End. Relatedly, you like to visit Nashville. What are some areas of the city you find interesting? I look at Eighth Avenue South and 12South as very interesting corridors. Charlotte Pike is making progress. It’s easy to see why there is growth and demand near Vanderbilt and the hospitals in Midtown. Sylvan Park has seen improvement the past few years. You can see Nashville as a living, breathing organism. To watch the new restaurants and the new housing coming to the city is exciting.

Permit pulled for the small condo development at 801 Main Street next to the church. Permit pulled for a two building, four story high condo development at 3823 Gallatin Pike in Inglewood. Should be striking in that stretch of road (hopefully in a good way). Also noticed, for any DYIer's, a new Harbor Freight is coming to Rivergate (or moving from Donelson?).

I guess this is why Nashville Ready Mix is trying to move operations to thier property on Baptist World Center. Golf and entertainment complex eyes Cowan Street site http://www.tennessean.com/story/money/real-estate/2015/01/23/topgolf-eyes-cowan-st-site-sports-entertainment-complex/22251489/ While I probably would not frequent something like this, I think it would be a good fit next to LP Field. Maybe get the ball rolling a little faster on relocating PSC Metals for possible mixed use and/or greenway options.

Must be when you go there or who is working. We went there after it first opened and ordered two burgers to go and they were not that good. We're not that picky and I really wanted to like it too. My two cents, Edgefield Sports Bar has a great burger. I also agree that Sportsman's grill patty melt and burger are good (but pricey). Pharmacy is decent but a little overrated and sometimes inconsistent. The Crying Wolf actually has excellent mini burgers and Fat Bottom is probably my favorite recent burger. Haven't been to Gabby's yet.

Are we sure this is East Nashville/Inglewood and not Madison? Google Street View always seems to default to this location when it can't figure out if it's Gallatin Rd / Ave / Pike. There was a permit for a new Chinese restaurant that everyone thought was going to East Nashville (NADC area) because Google Street View defaulted to this area and it actually was built in Madison. The Post actually said "East Nashville to get Chinese Restaurant". I don't see where they are going to jam a 1.7 million dollar used car lot in that location?

Regarding the possible Ready Mix relocation - , that little area is sort of a secret connection between East Nashville and Bordeaux, You go west and take Douglas to Dickerson, then go north for half a block, then back on Douglas (in true Nashville fashion) and bam you just avoided Trinity Lane. There seems to be a lot of industrial companies in the area. Sort of pegged that area for a possible hot spot for development because of location. Went through there last night and there was a extremely strong odor from one of the industrial sites. There are some high end homes on a hill that can be seen on the interstate.
