  1. Not at all. Similar set up as the parking lot this past summer. But still dreaming...
  2. Thank you for the info. I'm very curious about their next moves. My buddies and I have kicked around the idea of how cool it would be if they could somehow get permitting to host the next one in Romare park with the game on BB&T Ballpark's big screen. I'm sure that's unrealistic though since it's not really adjacent the bar and would turn the Big Moon Green into a giant mud hole.
  3. Any chance it could be used as overflow space for packed soccer games?
  4. http://m.imgur.com/gallery/nimJWsj Lights on the Fury lift. And this https://mobile.twitter.com/OCoasters/media/grid?idx=1&tid=570077367336628224
  5. He's had a couple rough years, but at least it's nice to have an experienced OT on the left. Hopefully his mother, Sandra Bullock, will be visiting Charlotte on Sundays this fall. I might get season tickets.
  6. Green's remains, and has retail alongside to complement it. As a long-time Cardinals fan, I was hoping to go to this soon, and, about a year ago, this was actually what got me thinking about this block and it's similar proximity to our field.
  7. As AIrNostromMAD mentioned above, I was referencing the comment at the top of the page. I definitely agree that a functional deck at that location would be an amazing amenity for residents. I'm probably alone in wanting a building of similar scale at the corner of mint and 3rd overlooking the stadium from right-center field (but loaded with 2 floors of retail). Ballpark bar or restaurant on the 2nd floor overlooking the park and ballpark. Rooftop pool. Ok now back to reality.
  8. The Mint was never meant to be a godsend you guys
  9. The first live test run of Fury325 was this afternoon and recorded on shakeycam for your vr headsets. http://myfox8.com/2015/03/04/take-a-ride-on-carowinds-fury-325-the-worlds-tallest-and-fastest-giga-coaster/
  10. Ok, now we are definitely off topic. We shouldn't make light of the fact that keeping your unattended beers covered is important regardless of the thread it's in.
  11. If we sign Cam to a long term contract, his cap number will most likely stay the same or go down next year, not up. Letting D Willy go will go further towards free agency and giving Stewart and Fozzy more touches. I will miss Deangelo though. He was a class act and deservedly a fan favorite.
  12. I agree with what your saying, but after reading the last sentence, I'm trying to literally think of something other than an auto mall (realistically) that could be worse for this spot, and I can't. Like you said though, at least they have some walkable infrastructure, so maybe in the distant future something will change.
  13. I think it was adjacent the off ramp of north 85. I believe it was posted on the UC thread months back.
  14. Could be worse. It could have been an adult movie store... SC is not too heavy on regulation.
  15. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2015/02/19/5526446/developer-asks-for-delay-in-sports.html#.VOaM2H-9KSM Surprise, surprise. Goodsports is having issues with financing the sports complex near Bojangles Coliseum. I wonder what will happen now that the Checkers are on board with the renovations at Bojangles.
  16. With that much Price's Chicken, note the use of the multiple rest facilities as well.
  17. Rjp posted pictures of it here http://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/index.php/topic/32182-lake-norman-urbanization-and-projects/page-12
  18. They are building the new facility at the Langtree project in Mooresville.

  20. I'd like to eventually see a used games/ movies/ books/ coffee shop, a la The Last Word, accompany this one day. And props to whoever posted about landing a "barcade" in this area several months back.
  21. I agree. I do wish it was closer to "downtown" Noda, but long (lonnng) term, this could go a long way towards extending the current scene from 36th to the Brew Square to Parkwood Station.
  22. And that have Chingy doing body shots off fat girls.
  23. Lol I assume no one else on this board ever has the radio on Power 98. Club Caviar has commercials on that station constantly, but I always pictured their income as something funded by Pat Cannon or some elaborate money laundering since it is a relatively small club on really expensive land. Oops... If I disappear tonight, y'all will know why. Also even if it's packed every day, no one who doesn't go would know since it's tucked away in a sunken city corner.
  24. Let the games begin! But to be fair, the distance between WF and Stonewall station without a connection is not nearly the obstical that Publix has regarding its distance to stations (and everything just across the tracks). Ideal way station would greatly increase it's accessibility while a Stonewall Station connection would most likely make the distance to WF a little more comfortable.
