  1. I like Corona the best. Do you play cities skylines? Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  2. Baton Rouge has the 3rd most solar energy potential per capita in the US. Lafayette is #9 and Shreveport is #28. Mobile is #20 and Beaumont is #8. I've said before I would love for Louisiana to embrace and incubate the renewable energy industry, and consolidate the corporate wing of that industry in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. https://solarpower.guide/solar-energy-insights/solar-potential Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  3. Do you think an urban growth boundary would have any popularity? Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  4. Is it going to be 2 lanes? Thought 4 lanes and sidewalks were supposed to be apart of it? Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  5. Are you saying the sites are appealing because there is enough connectivity with the I-10 and 190 bridges? Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  6. I agree, Cajun. I hope the entire south Louisiana region can work together to best prepare for this investment and prepare our citizens to fulfill the employment requirements. I think West BR, Livingston, Tangipahoa, and St. Tammany could benefit the most. But I would imagine the state would have go get serious about another bridge. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  7. BTR is pretty small for a city the size of Baton Rouge. I checked LFT(523k), SHV(683k), and BTR (822k), then I checked COS, they're doing 1.6 million! I would personally like to see a Denver flight added. Just checked Little Rock, they are averging over 2 million passengers, but don't have an International airport and hour away, plus LFT on the other side. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  8. The bridge looks to be single track and doesn't split into a double track until it crosses under I-310. Why would they build two bridges even if it was double tracked the whole way? Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  9. That's better than a rich people wall. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  10. I love this roundabout, been asking for it for years. But I really wish zoning would not allow for that type of development to be designed that way. (Wall facing the street) It would look much better with homes fronting the street. Now that stretch is permanently empty. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  11. Thats been done, or close to it as of my last trip home in March. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for the link. I'd never seen it before. I'm going to delve into it more in depth when I get home. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  13. Cajun, that second picture gives of some mean USSR vibes. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  14. I wonder if they plan on using existing infrastructure. And where would our station be? I've always wanted the LASM to be returned to its former glory. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  15. Well with this plus the Guice accusations.. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  16. I feel like this statement is still "mostly" true, which is a sign that the state still needs to diversify its economy. Thats an interesting quote. It rings true for alot of businesses that depend on the ebb and flow of the petrochemical industry. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  17. Where were they on Essen? I remember they had that building near the old Barnes and Nobles on Corporate. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  18. Bluebonnet is crying tears of joy. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  19. I hope it's not true. He was my favorite. But if it is true, looks like LSU will be in trouble for years to come from sanctions. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  20. I was just back home for a few days and the skyline looks noticeably denser with the addition of these mid-rise apartments. No we need to ban garden style offices and force them downtown! Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  21. I think I remember it being a downtown specific project. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  22. If the Sunshine Project (Formosa in St. James) gets built, you will probably see 10 more developments just like it in that area along with retail and support businesses to match. Hopefully those developments will be a little more inter-connected. I-10 between LaPlace o Prairieville will eventually look like I-10 between Colton and Pomona....or I-45 between League City and Houston. Not counting the swamp area of course. [emoji4] You know dang well they won't be interconnected, for fear of "people." Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  23. Great news. This is the capacity increase I like! I also like the idea of a new airport along I-12, although that conflicts with my rail line proposal. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
  24. I found them on the web, scrolling through posts sucks when on my phone. I really like the roundabouts at Dalrymple, Washington, and Terrace, the proposed improvements for pedestrians for the Nairn St bridge, the removal of the Perkins Rd ramp, the new sidewalks, and the new entrance ramp for eastbound traffic via Dalrymple. I'm still concerned about westbound traffic crossing the Mississippi though, it's still a two lane flyover, and when I was taking that journey downtown every morning, traffic never really got stuck in the I-110 lanes. So it's good that they will be separate now but the bottleneck is still there. Similar to this is the eastbound traffic coming from the westbank, having an extra lane isn't going to relieve that congestion. I'd say I fully support this project, as yall know I love infrastructure, but I still have no faith in reduction in traffic during peak hours. Non-peak hours have a bleak outlook as well (imo). 25. I didn't take into consideration the bridge deck. How are they going to fix the I-110 interchange? I see that they've begun or finished construction on the Terrace Ace exit ramp via Google but are they going to add capacity to the WB I-10 flyover? Or is the interchange part of the whole project. I might've missed that. I kind of agree with the reversible HOV lane. Well I also agree that we will see another bridge before we see another widening of this stretch through the city but I have little faith it even breaks ground this decade or half of the next. Doesnt it usually take years to plan the actual bridge once a site is selected? I'd still like to see Hwy 30, south of its interchange with the new bridge, to be a controlled acces highway all the way to I-10. Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
