  1. I think I read where it will be another shopping center.
  2. There is a Gap in Shreveport (similar size as Little Rock) and a Gap Outlet just across the river in Bossier City. I guess it's an anomaly.
  3. BR Outlet and Gap Outlets don't carry the same things as the mall stores. In fact, many of the items carried by the BR and Gap outlets are made specifically for those stores and never carried in the mall stores. I can see where both could co-exist.
  4. It's not out of the realm for both to be located in the same center. In the Palm Beach Outlets, which was developed by the same developer as the Outlets of Little Rock, both stores are present. I've attached a link to a directory of the stores that opened at Palm Beach Outlets: http://www.palmbeachoutlets.com/directory
  5. Is Cavendar's a tenant of the outlet mall? I thought it was located on a parcel of land outside the outlet mall property.
  6. I wonder if some place would be interested in combining the two places. Would that be too much space for one restaurant/bar?
  7. Cavender's Western Wear received a plumbing permit for a location at 10720 Bass Pro Parkway. They are based in Texas and have a few locations outside of Texas in Colorado, Oklahoma and Lousiana. There is one Arkansas location in Springdale.
  8. I would prefer Cantrell Road not be an option if Costco is seriously considering a location in the area. Surely there is someplace on Rodney Parham, Chenal Parkway, or Bowman that would be large enough for a Costco. I know the stores are huge but tear down some of the (for lack of a better word) "blemished" areas to make way. It doesn't have to locate on a currently vacant, wooded lot, does it?
  9. The Alltel complex is not even fully occupied is it? Verizon had used that field for employee events during the year. I will have to see just how many cars use that lot when I pass by there on the way to work each day.
  10. Is this what is being built at the corner of Cedar Hill and Brookwood? I'm all for progress but I really feel for the loss of soccer fields if that's the location of that project. Another project is being built at the corner of Riverdale and Cedar Hill. It, too, used to be soccer fields.
  11. The Chi's on Old Cantrell is really quite good. I avoided it for a while because I, too, was not impressed with Chi's at Shackleford and Markham. I never made it to RJ Tao before it came and went.
  12. Dillards just gets in to keep anybody else out and then backs out. They did this with the mall that was originally going in where Shackleford Crossings is now.
  13. Houston's definitely came to mind. Is there some corporate tie with Houston's and Hilton Hotels? It seems like the only Houston's I have seen in hotels were Hilton Hotels. Maybe it's just the small number of Houston's I've seen. Ruth's Chris would be good. Yardhouse seems to be expanding. I was impressed with the food at Yardhouse when I ate there a couple of months ago. I would compare it to Cheesecake Factory. Speaking of Cheesecake Factory, that would be a good candidate, too.
  14. GNC will be opening at 17801 Chenal Parkway, Suite C, per plumbing permits.
  15. My thoughts exactly! I was watching KTHV last night and the lead was something like "More exciting shopping destinations in the future at the Promenade." An AT&T store is NOT a shopping destination and is not exciting. So what's the skinny on this Boneheads place? Anybody been to one? There's one opening in Bentonville soon according to their website. I looked at the menu and couldn't really get a grip on what type of food they served. According to the "about" section of the website, it was started in Atlanta by two chefs, one from the American South and one from South Africa. This explained the catfish and the piri piri. Oh, and piri piri is pronounced "pee-ree pee-ree" according to the website.
  16. There was an article in Arkansas Business about the complex. http://www.arkansasbusiness.com/article/99674/construction-starts-on-south-main-district-apartment-complex?utm_source=enews_070814&utm_medium=email&utm_content=daily-report&utm_campaign=newsletter&enews_zone=195007 Not sure I would want to have an apartment behind Midtown. Glad for the in-fill, though. The design is a bit...eh.
  17. I am excited for the new place and the restaurant. However, I really dislike metal buildings. Can they not do something to make the place look less like a steel barn? Aesthetics matter.
  18. I predict it will be a Senor Tequila. Why not? They are everywhere!
  19. Kilwins Chocolate, Fudge and Ice Cream Shop will be opening at 415 President Clinton Avenue according to the signs in the windows. The shop is listed on the Kilwins website, too. https://www.kilwins.com/stores?distance%5Bpostal_code%5D=72201&distance%5Bsearch_distance%5D=1000&distance%5Bsearch_units%5D=mile Starbucks will apparently be opening a location inside the Courtyard By Marriott according to the signs on the windows of the CbM.
  20. Great! It was looking as if it were close to open when I was out that way last. Looking forward to trying it out.
  21. I thought Whole Foods was moving in where Linens N Things was. The Spring (?) Church moved out when this rumor was going around. Nothing happened and now there is (or was) some type of clearance center there.
  22. Definitely seems a better fit would be the shopping center with TJ Maxx, another corporate sibling. I think there's even some space available where Fitness Tech (or something of the sort) used to be.
