Varider, the traintracks down the 664 median are for the new terminals coming online such as APM and Craney island. I actually live right next to City Center @ OP. I got a new camera and can take pictures.

Acually we do have alot of high paying jobs, they are just stratified all over HR and its cities and not in the downtown.

Hampton Roads (portsmoth) was in NBCs the nightly news tonight. It was about an org. helping save peoples homes. The story starts 10 minutes into the video. The actually use the name Hampton Roads http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/

Monorail sucks. Its failed everywhere its built except disneyland. Light Rail succeds.

The tide is most likely going to be free for the first couple of days after the rail opens. It was that way in phoenix and charlotte as well as many other cities.

Do you guys get airtran? Airtran is the biggest carrier out of my airport and is a great low cost carrier.

Norfolk has, and with great success. Our 7.4 mile starter line is under construction and a 20 mile extention is going to start EIS next year. And most of the line outside of downtown (east) is built on an abandoned freight line. http://www.ridethetide.com/

Just went over the pattern book. In the transformations section it talks about hampton inn, wachovia and the westin. In the Wachovia sectiion it says its a 27 floor office tower. O-o

I don't see how the VB line would be more difficult than the Norfolk line, VB has the NS line all the way through the city that cuts a perfect and easy path for the rail line. Norfolk had to cut through downtown. Heck the NS line cuts a perfect path through Town center. The only part outside the NS right of way is the terminus at the oceanfront. The Extension also only 3 or so miles longer, and in a straight line.
