  1. Just read that Shark's is taking over the old Andy's location.
  2. Saw this in the plumbing permits. I assume it's not an In N Out Burger since those usually have a drive-thru, but what is it? It does say it involves food service. It would be near Ten Thousand Villages, I think. http://www.healthy.arkansas.gov/eng/planreview/PLUMB/98184.htm
  3. Like the Baskin Robbins that is practically next door to Cold Stone or Zoe's going next to Taziki's.
  4. I'm hoping the Luby's replacement also deals with that odd lot where the Infiniti dealer once was. The small size of the lot, combined with the fact that Entergy's road encircles it makes it a very awkward place to build. Entergy needs one connection to Markham and the rest of the road needs to be combined with the lot.
  5. There really aren't. And if they actually mean Markham or just off Markham then the old Famous Dave's would fit but I don't think it's the best location. And there is actually a small lot just west of the IHOP before Saver's.
  6. Could be the old Luby's. Maybe Andy's old location, but I doubt that. There's probably room for another outparcel in front of Mardel's. That's all I can think of.
  7. Maybe it will be in two separate pieces. I've been in other cities where H&M men was separate from the rest of the H&M. There are several empty places in the mall where they could pull that off (especially if Limited goes away).
  8. I feel better after doing a bit of research that Limited is literally the only brand affected. I thought the other brands had been spun off or bought by other companies but wasn't sure. looks like Express, Victoria's Secret, Pink, Lane Bryant, etc. are all safe.
  9. They keep looking for someone to by the local franchise and no one (wisely) has stepped up to do it. And I wish that Pleasant Ridge had been created with more of a Promenade Main Street feel. That wouldn't affect traffic or visibility, but I just feel like it would make the experience feel less like a pretty strip mall.
  10. Yeah, I've definitely thought about Costco there. And it's only a matter of time before that place closes. The last time I was in there, I realized that it had not been remodeled since the 70s.
  11. Most likely place IMO is the old Carino's/Marketplace on Hwy. 10. Near the Interstate, part of a large shopping mall and already zoned properly. I'm sure they'd raze the building. And, is this a crazy thought? If the shopping center loses Chili's and still hasn't replaced Whole Foods, would it be possible that the entire shopping center could be replaced by a Costco? It's visible from the Interstate and just might be large enough.
  12. Is the diamond interchange still happening? That was announced a long time ago. Chili's was one of the original tenants announced when the Promenade was first in the planning stages. I really don't see it moving there now.
  13. I still think an H&M and maybe Urban Outfitters would be possibilities. I doubt Banana or Gap would happen - two stores in LR are enough.
  14. Less than two years after it opened, Boneheads has closed. Based on the one time I ate there, I'm not surprised. Hopefully they'll find something to take its place.
  15. I could see it replacing the Markham/Rodney Parham Kroger. Especially with the one at 430 and Rodney Parham not that far away. The Hillcrest one seems insulated enough just because it's so popular with that neighborhood. But the parking lot is tiny and it departing might actually help the Heights one, too. Maybe the Hillcrest one will close and be replaced by a Trader Joe's?
  16. If I remember correctly, they're turning it into a ready-to-finish-out space that has floors that are no longer uneven because of all the ramps a theater requires. I don't remember hearing that they had any tenant(s) lined up yet.
  17. Noticed this marker go up on Center St. earlier this week. It's across the street from the First United Methodist Church.
  18. I believe the plan is for the pumps to be along the back (west) side so that the building is what fronts Broadway. It's definitely needed. Very cramped space right now.
  19. Signs are up on the old Tipton Hurst/Coldwater Creek location announcing a J. Jill location coming this fall. It's also on the chain's website. They were one of the original tenants announced that never materialized.
  20. Seems odd that Dairy Queen would move back into the LR market just one block over from where their last attempt failed. I forget what the place is now, but it's been fish, Chinese, Mexican and Say Macintosh. Facing 12th street and being hidden from University by the hotel and CVS makes it seem less than ideally visible.
  21. Drove by there last night and the Loft sign is gone and the windows are all papered over. Not good for the shopping center to lose another big name tenant, but at least something new is going in. Odd that it's still on the website.
  22. A building permit in the paper appears to be for the Loft space. Doesn't say who the incoming tenant is and I didn't know Loft had closed. In fact, the store is still listed on the Promenade's website and on Loft's.
  23. The Promenade location is the new style, as well. But you're right about the rest of them.
  24. A sign on an empty lost just west of the airport's Comfort Inn says that a Fairfield Inn is coming soon. There is also a "Sold" sign on the lot, but no indication of construction or clearing yet.
