  1. According to zoning applications, Taco Bueno is considering building directly in front of Burlington Coat Factory, although they requested it be deferred to a later meeting. Seems like an odd location to me.
  2. Next to Yogurt Mountain on Chenal Parkway. It's part of the old Sharper Image site or right next to it.
  3. Since it's frozen custard, I'd be afraid if I were Shake's.
  4. They typically pick locations with a lot of food and shopping options nearby so that people can have a way to pass the time while it charges. I'm fascinated by the idea, but it would still be a bit of a hassle trying to do a long trip that way.
  5. I wasn't impressed by the cheese dip. The salsa was fine, but not out of the ordinary. I didn't try the guac. I really like their puffy shells. That's probably my favorite thing. And the portions were good-sized.
  6. I went a couple of weeks ago. Liked it, but didn't love it. The lack of beer and margaritas is a turn-off but the range of tacos is better than at Chipotle. I'd go back but only once the lines die down.
  7. In today's paper, Eric Harrison says one will be opening on South University.
  8. Simmons Bank is buying the Acxiom building in downtown LR and bringing all of their employees together from multiple locations. I assume this means the Simmons Tower will get renamed. Anyone know who is another large occupant that could take it over? I know Entergy has a lot of space there, but I've heard they don't want their name on the building because it doesn't look good to the general public.
  9. Today's paper says it will be 20,000 sq. ft, compared to Park Plaza's 29,000.
  10. I agree. That large empty spot is the biggest sore spot in the center. Otherwise, most of the available space is smaller. I had hoped for H&M but that won't be happening now. Not sure what else could go there (or on the empty outparcel on the other side of DSW).
  11. Dress Barn? You aren't talking about the Promenade?
  12. I think they could still build it up to two stories, if they want. That would make it large enough to match their typical stores, I think.
  13. Today's Demozette listed a building permit for Gandolfo's Deli. It will be in the old Boneheads location. They are in several states but this will be Arkansas' first. Haven't heard of them, but it seems like a good fit for the center. Anyone ever been to one? https://www.gandolfosdeli.com
  14. It's saying its location is by Dress Barn in the back. Definitely would fit there. Weird that it doesn't even say "coming soon" on the site like some of the other ones do.
  15. A google search says the average size of an H&M is 20,000-25,000 sq. ft. I guess all these together would make that range? It almost seems that it would be bigger. Good to know that the empty Bath & Body space will be occupied. They'll just have the Limited and Abercrombie spaces to deal with. And that small part of Ann Taylor.
  16. No, it's lower-priced. Lower quality but trendy. Similar to Old Navy. But it's a very desirable tenant to have. Hugely popular.
  17. I went by there last night and Lane Bryant is also closed. The sign refers you to the Lakewood, Outlet and Bryant locations. That leaves a major space on the 2nd floor (along with the old Bailey Banks & Biddle). Then, directly above it would be the old Hollister location as well as the rumored-to-be-kicked out Cafe and Massage place. That would be sizable enough for an H&M.
  18. There's the newly freed up space where The Limited was. And a smaller space where Bath & Body Works used to be, but if you were moving, wouldn't you remodel the old space first?
  19. I guess the rumors about H&M are true. That would give them a sizable location with Hollister and the tenants on the hallway entrance all gone.
  20. AR Business says that 3 acres near the Promenade may become a boutique hotel. I assume this is the land behind the shopping center the was originally supposed to be an anchor store? Guess that means no Macy's or Nordstrom's there. Although with the department store seeming to die a slow death, it was probably never going to happen anyway. http://www.arkansasbusiness.com/article/115189/boutique-hotel-may-open-near-promenade-at-chenal
  21. I thought it might be an Aldi, but I don't think those are even 20,000 sq. ft.
  22. Here's a thought. I know that either side of the 2nd story side hallway is empty (part of Ann Taylor and the Bailey Banks & Biddle) and they are apparently clearing away some tenants from the 3rd floor hallway. Any chance that they'll enclose the hallway and the businesses on that hallway and create a small "anchor" that has entrances to both the mall and the parking deck? It would seem to fit the typical H&M layout and look. It would involve the relocation of Lenscrafters, Kay Jewelers, the eyebrow threading place and Icing, but might be worth it help fill the mall.
  23. Hollister would have to be closing or be forced to relocate for there to be enough space there. Even then, H&M's are pretty big. Not sure that would be enough.
  24. To the Promenade or to just "somewhere"? I could see the Promenade. I could also see Park Plaza. The Outlet mall doesn't seem as likely anymore.
  25. It's a fish & chicken place. They're all over southwest and central Little Rock and NLR south of 40. The only website I could find was for the Geyer Springs location, but I think they're all the same. http://www.sharksgeyersprings.com
