  1. Keep in mind many of these stores also do online sales. 704 shop in particular seems to have a large following. I see their stuff allnthe time.
  2. Interesting. I have a warehouse space in there. They havent informed us yet that ive seen. I'm about to move out anyway though, so doesnt really impact me.
  3. Sao Paul, Mexico City, and Lima are all bigger than New York.
  4. DC/NoVa traffic and COL are already awful. This is going to make things so much worse. I'm glad I no longer live there.
  5. I was told they own approximately 15 acres in southend between all locations in South End / along South Blvd. I'm not really sure where their other facilities are.
  6. Carolina Foods is scouting land for a new facility. Their current building is not in great shape due to age and their operations are spread across several buildings and parking / accessibility is an issue. It's also a historic building, so they have to follow some historic requirements for any upgrades and improvements. Moving is cheaper. Their timeline would not line up with this project, so it will not be a casualty here.
  7. I heard there is a 6000 ish square foot restaurant / arcade bar considering space in the bottom floor of this building. Seems like a very odd fit for this location. Also heard there is a 14,000 square foot brewery headed to the building across the street from Bark and Brew on Thrift Rd. I forget the name though unfortunately.
  8. about 14,000. We have been awful though. If we were even decent and remotely fun to watch, 20,000+ would be attainable. It blows my mind Brad Lambert still has a job, but the decision to keep Judy Rose cost her hers, so for that, Lambert has my thanks. His ineptitude got us the #2 guy from the University of Florida and the #2 guy from Syracuse. I am optimistic the change in direction in leadership will pay dividends in future seasons.
  9. temporary seats going up for the first two games of the season.
  10. I quoted some upfit work for this store. They have the same GM HHM did. They are keeping the layout exactly the same (same fixtures and everything). It's basically just HHM with new owners.
  11. Ah, I thought that thing had been long abandoned.
  12. Anyone know what is under construction behind the townhomes that are bound by McDowell, 7th street, and 277?
  13. I've done two projects in Trilogy this year. It's a nice neighborhood for sure. Treetops in Indian Land is very similar. Trilogy wins in a head to head battle IMO because their HOA fees include a membership to a boat club on Lake Norman.
  14. I grew up in Weddington. Can't imagine myself ever going back to that place. The homes are nice no doubt, but that whole area is dullsville.
  15. I don't know what the train schedules look like, but once the Amtrak terminal is open in Uptown, commuting into town via Amtrak for work may be possible, which could make Salisbury a more attractive location for people working in Charlotte.
  16. It's a nice trip as long as you're not trying to escape heat. It doesn't help with that. There are a few wineries up that way too. They aren't going to win any awards (none that matter anyway), but Stony Mountain Vineyards up that way has a beautiful view of the river valley that runs through the Uwharries.
  17. Same. I think she will struggle in this area with those prices.
  18. For me the appeal was not having to move out after the school year ended. Nothing sucked harder than living on your own for 9 months and then moving back in with your parents for the summer.
  19. Grubb is moving forward with plans to sell the remaining plots of land in Seigle Point for development. I forget the name of the new developer, but they will need to get started pretty much immediately and be finished within the next 12 months. There will be 19 more units starting at $325k. The homeowners in the neighborhood have to agree to extend their declaration though, or they will drop their bid. 22/31 homeowners have to approve it, which is probably pretty likely as long as we can track them all down.
  20. I would be floored if that actually happened. I could see all their top execs operating out of Charlotte and Charlotte being the defacto HQ but not the official HQ. Similar to BOA being headquartered here despite most of the big wigs now residing elsewhere.
  21. Raleigh has had Like bikes about as long as Charlotte.
  22. The good thing about someone as rich as Tepper is that the $10 million or so that parking revenue would bring in annually likely means little to nothing to him. All along I wanted the team to be purchased by someone with FU money that only wants to own the team as a novelty of wealth. It seems we got someone like that, though that doesn't definitively mean he won't try to milk it for as much money as he can...it's just less likely than an ownership group like Sebates that seemed to be hellbent on trying to make as much money from the purchase as possible.
  23. Major fines for airborne asbestos and silica dust. Like $70,000 for first offense. $120,000 for second. Shut down for third.
  24. You were right. I only assumed the Recess location because the initial post about it said "near Seigle and 10th" instead of at Seigle and 10th where the storage building is being constructed.
  25. My guess is the Recess location. I was told they haven't been making their rent and they have been trying to find a new tenant.
