  1. Cooper has to move this forward or he has lost all integrity in my mind
  2. I agree. I think a line down Murfreesboro from the airport to downtown is the perfect first step. The convention center owns the land where the line would terminate downtown. The airport and convention center could contribute some of their excess funds so that there isn’t much impact on the taxpayer. It’s really a win-win all around.
  3. The numbers here are off single family grew from 308 to 324 condominiums grew from 222 to 269
  4. How is that possible? Is that solely due to interest rates making mortgages more affordable?
  5. We need dedicated lanes and a straight shot from the airport to downtown. I really hope this administration doesn’t kick this down the road. We need to start. And I don’t mean more buses.
  6. Putting the brakes on huge opportunities like getting Oracle?? I understand focusing on finances but we can still grow our economy at the same time with incentives. These two aren't mutually exclusive!
  7. Anyone know what other lots Tony owns that he could move forward with another tower on? Appreciate this guy for all the work he does for our downtown
  8. We need many, many more Bento Box micro apartment developments. Just makes so much sense for more affordable rent near the core.
  9. The lot I believe is like a 1/3 of an acre. They're not paying 2.75 million for the land value here. They're paying that much for the beauty of this building. I'd say 99% chance it stays.
  10. If it’s already 80% sold they should start on another building in the area immediately! We need more condos downtown
  11. I can't imagine Cooper really trying to sink the MLS deal. Metro Council has already given the thumbs up and the MLS ownership has moved forward due to that vote. It would be incredibly bad faith and a lack of integrity to try sink it now on loopholes.
  12. Why on earth don't they use brick all the way to the top on this last building. Makes it look so much better and I doubt the cost is too dramatically higher. Worth it.
  13. I think the Metro Council will simply modify the agreement a bit. Hopefully they don't drag this out.
  14. This is a great idea. It wouldn't be a huge investment and it would do a great deal to add to our downtown. Plus it would encourage much larger scale development from out of state investors which is good for the city.
  15. So is the light rail line from the airport to downtown still possibly going to happen with Cooper as mayor? It would be so helpful and such a good thing for our city IMO
  16. I really hope Cooper continues to encourage growth downtown. Creating a vibrant downtown will attract residents/tourists for years to come and provide a great deal of tax revenue long term for our city to use
