Cooper has to move this forward or he has lost all integrity in my mind

I agree. I think a line down Murfreesboro from the airport to downtown is the perfect first step. The convention center owns the land where the line would terminate downtown. The airport and convention center could contribute some of their excess funds so that there isn’t much impact on the taxpayer. It’s really a win-win all around.

The Decade in Review for Nashville: 2010 to 2019

How is that possible? Is that solely due to interest rates making mortgages more affordable? -
We need dedicated lanes and a straight shot from the airport to downtown. I really hope this administration doesn’t kick this down the road. We need to start. And I don’t mean more buses.

We need many, many more Bento Box micro apartment developments. Just makes so much sense for more affordable rent near the core. -

The lot I believe is like a 1/3 of an acre. They're not paying 2.75 million for the land value here. They're paying that much for the beauty of this building. I'd say 99% chance it stays. -

Any chance Cooper will get rid of the outdated height limits within the inner loop?- 827 replies

If it’s already 80% sold they should start on another building in the area immediately! We need more condos downtown

I can't imagine Cooper really trying to sink the MLS deal. Metro Council has already given the thumbs up and the MLS ownership has moved forward due to that vote. It would be incredibly bad faith and a lack of integrity to try sink it now on loopholes.

Why on earth don't they use brick all the way to the top on this last building. Makes it look so much better and I doubt the cost is too dramatically higher. Worth it.

I think the Metro Council will simply modify the agreement a bit. Hopefully they don't drag this out.

So only like 100 more apartments for phase 2? The lot is smaller

This is a great idea. It wouldn't be a huge investment and it would do a great deal to add to our downtown. Plus it would encourage much larger scale development from out of state investors which is good for the city.

So is the light rail line from the airport to downtown still possibly going to happen with Cooper as mayor? It would be so helpful and such a good thing for our city IMO
-
I really hope Cooper continues to encourage growth downtown. Creating a vibrant downtown will attract residents/tourists for years to come and provide a great deal of tax revenue long term for our city to use
