  1. Any word on the 2 acre site across the street where 3rd and Lindsey is? Seems like this should be snapped up soon, it’s been for sale for awhile…
  2. With all of the out of town developers with deep pockets wanting to invest in this up and coming city, all of those lots will easily be gobbled up in the coming decade. The "clusters" that we're seeing with unite together and we'll have a vibrant, dense downtown...what we don't want is to get a bunch of 5 story stick frame apartment buildings instead of the architecturally beautiful buildings we're currently starting to see become the new norm...I have great hope in 10 years we'll have an incredibly alive, urban downtown that will be the envy of many other cities... Luckily we're one of the "IT" cities in the country right now and we're blessed to have investors willing to come to us with big, transformative proposals
  3. Realistically what can we do as a city to allow young people to have a shot at home ownership? Encourage denser condo/townhome development all around the core? There’s a lot of industrial land that could be utilized for this purpose if we invested in some of our underdeveloped corridors (Murfreesboro Rd for example)
  4. Anybody have any idea who the buyer might be/how big of a project will go on these 4 acres? Please don’t tell me a double wide 5 story stick frame
  5. Hopefully gets approved. Dense housing along Murfreesboro Pike would be great…would help revitalize that whole area. Lots of industrial buildings that could be converted
  6. https://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/news/2021/08/06/la-developer-now-controls-an-acre-of-sobro-land.html?cx_testId=40&cx_testVariant=cx_34&cx_artPos=0#cxrecs_s 801-805 3rd Ave S (next to Broadstone Sobro) sold on July 29th. Any idea who the buyer is/plans for this property?
  7. Absolutely. I think this is going to be really popular in the downtown core moving forward. Just makes too much sense...
  8. So Rocketown could sell their land for 25-30 million dollars (based on what Cumulus's land just sold for) and build a much nicer campus right outside the loop like 5 blocks away...and they don't want to? Seems like it would be the right move for them and those they serve
  9. Do you think these vehicles add to the "fun vibe" experience of our downtown for tourists that might make their trip more memorable (referring to tourists who don't even use them)
  10. Where does Vanderbilt get all their money from for such incredible expansion? The hospital, the school…? It’s amazing all the land they’re buying and the beauty of the buildings they’re constructing
  11. Why is this building taking so long? Seems like they've missed out on a ton of business, is there a backstory here?
  12. All of 2nd Ave is pretty much in the Lafayette district all the way to the interstate...it's just weird how a couple parcels are cherry picked to be in Rutledge Hill with old, run down industrial buildings on them...definitely think 2nd and Peabody would be a great addition to this neighborhood and would spur other high quality development
  13. Do we need to contact council members on this one? Would love to see 2nd and Peabody come to fruition, anything we can do to help support this project?
  14. Is there real risk that Oracle might not come? If so that would be a sad turn of events
