  1. Good news for the Promenade! Hopefully this will get the ball moving on some of the other Developments. I wounder what would happen if a department store was to buy the land behind the promenade. What type of effect that would have on the development. Macy's anyone? This is the only development in town i could see them at, unless they expand at Midtowne. Im doubtful about Park Avenue, anywhere in NLR and SC.
  2. Has there been any news on the District at Pinnacle Hills? There is still some sign up by the Neighborhood Market.
  3. Work has started on the Anthropologie store and word from the manager at ya yas is that it will be opening mid-aug or early september. Work is also underway on The Wine Loft & Blanc Burgers and Bottles. Bravo should be opening any day now. As for J Crew, i emailed the company and was told that a central Arkansas store is coming soon and that the promenade store isn't dead. Like most stores, i think that its just waiting for the center to get to a certain level of occupancy. On a side not, its sad to see AE go away. But we didnt need 3 of them. One in NLR and one in LR is plenty. Plus they also have a store in Hot Springs. I'm really good friends with a manager at Hollister Co in Park Plaza. He said that the parent company(A&Fitch) is opening up a second store in the next year or so. He couldnt tell me if it was going to be in McCain or Promenade.
  4. Starting in September, Delta will drop its last remaining flight between CVG and LIT. It will add a flight to DTW in its replace. Its good to see mainline return to ATL, but I think that we will eventually see the mainline drooped from MEM. Here's hoping that the DTW flight will be up graded to mainline.
  5. does anyone think that Park Plaza could ever be expanded? like maybe a new wing with a macys or something similar to that?
  6. So i gues its just a view of opinions, but i would prefer to see them at the Promenade. I think the center deserves Apple. I would also like to see a new mens upscale boutique style store there, similar to evolve at Midtown. I think its a matter of when, not if that some body jumps on the land behind the promenade. I think a new to the market department store would do well there. I wounder if the Bath and body works and victoria secret stores of the world will make their return to the promenade.
  7. Looks like UA & CO are going to merge now. I view this as a positive to LIT. Maybe now we can get a LAX light. UA will now serve Houston, Chicago, New York & Denver. BRING ON LAX!!!
  8. I just think that if Apple had wanted to part of midtown, they would have already gone into the center. Same can be said for Park Plaza. I just think that because they were banking on the Promenade and that bet has stalled or failed, they have to go with plan B. But what is Plan B? That's the question we are all trying to figure out! I just have a hunch that we will see an Apple store in the next 2 years.
  9. I just was thinking no because it follows the outlet mall style and I just don't know about apple being in this style of a development. The Promenade is different because it is more pedestrian friendly and the same can be said for Park Avenue because it has the same style plan as the Promenade. You usually find Apple in a Park Plaza or Promenade style mall. But you are right on the "higher-end" aspect. I do wish that Midtown was bigger and i do think that it does have room to expand when the time comes for it. Perhaps Macy's will find a home there. Wasn't it originally suppose to be larger than it currently is? It currently has no big draw, other than the few specialty stores. If has a huge empty space that is still empty.
  10. Does anyone know if there was ever a "Master" list of proposed stores for the Promenade? I remember hearing about quite a few new to the market stores. I'm still wishing for J Crew and Fossil. How is it that NWA can have a Fossil, but Little Rock cant? I wish they would come out with some news or something, get a little excitement going for this place. I cant wait for the new restaurants to open, i think it will add more life to the center, much more than any stores will. As for apple, I personally want them at the Promenade. If they don't go into this development, i wounder what was the tipping point that killed the deal. I tend to see Apple assoicated with developements that include J Crew and Anthropologie. I dont see them at Midtown, There is no place for them. Apple is usually not associated with developments such as Midtown. Promenade.........yes, Park Plaza........yes, Midtown........no, Park Ave........perhaps.
  11. is there some sort of new plan for the center or will it just sit empty for a while?
  12. Thats good! Did he say anything else about new stores? On a side note, Charming Charlie opened up.
  13. It doesn't surprise me, but its sad! This was going to be THE store at the promenade. I really hope they change their mind, but perhaps they are going to move on another location. Perhaps Park Plaza. I doubt midtowne, is there room there for them? On a side not, i am really excited about Anthropologie. Its has nothing I like, yet it shows signs that this center still has some WOW factor. Anthropologie, also owned by Urban Outfitters, is very high end and will bring lots of people to this center. Maybe next will be an URBAN!! If only J Crew would now open
  14. So now that we have some momentum, how about j crew and apple open up!!!
  15. There seems to be a bit of good news. Anthropolgie has job listings on the web for its store. I guess this means that we will see this store in the near future.
  16. so are we even for sure that the Wine Loft and Blanc are coming to the Promenade?
  17. i would like to see the coffee shop thats in the small development across the street move to the promenade, or perhaps a local shop. I hope apple opens this year. Does anyone know when work is suppose to start on The Wine Loft and Blanc?
  18. Is there a list of current Plumbing Permits of stores slated to be at the promenade? im guessing if a store was to pull out, the plumbing permit would be closed as well?
  19. Now that the christmas shopping season is over, has aything else in Park Plaza closed? What about the new store Teavana? has that opened?
