  4. Final photo before leaving to Texas.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The more I see 505 fro different angles, the more I think that the 1000' version of Signature Tower actually would have been too much. Now 750 would have, and will be perfect once we get to that milestone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm back from Europe now and headed to Texas until I retire. I worked a bit on SHAPE, Chievres and the NSA site in Brussels. It was a busy three years to say the least. Smeagol, thanks, I appreciate it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. You can post a meme making fun of an elderly handicapped woman to get your point across if you want, but the truth is what it is. In Europe IKEA is low end.. a place to go for cheap 20 euro 5-drawer book case. As I said perfect for Antioch.. and perfect for Memphis. Cheers.
  12. Living in Europe I'll say Ikea is less than inspiring and a perfect addition to Antioch.. The demographic that shops Ikea in Europe matches the demographic that enjoyed the World Mall..
  13. +1 on the direct flight. I could have used that when I lived in Seattle and visited family in Smyrna about 10 times in a two year period. Instead I reached up miles on the sea to msp to bna route. Luckily msp is a great place to layover and get have some beers with miners catching hops to the Dakotas
  14. Is there a date for the additions and upgrades or is it fan as needed thing? All of those upgrades including the new runway would top $1B I would think...
  15. Ahh good. Someone else saw it as 5th and Demonbreun. Thought I was going crazy...
  16. the article says 5th ave S and demonbreun.. isn't that across the street from the CMHOF? the little park there?
  17. That's new? I was there late April and even my co-worker was amazed that the terminal was carpeted.. Buy yes, I agree, that carpet is very 1990s suburban mall.
  18. I concur with most of what you are saying. I guess my opinion is derived mostly from my initial impression upon getting off the plane. I'm currently home in Nashville right now, so I have been through the terminal recently. Personally, I just dont get the wow factor from Nashville as I do with other airports. We will get there when the time and money are right. Our city has major wow factor on a national level. As routes and airlines increase through BNA, more people will have that one impression of Nashville, especially if they are connecting. THe wow factor should match the rest of the city. I think the reason I enjoyed MSP so much was because I was stuck there for 18 hours in January, Delta terminal, with a load of frac miners... Several beers and stories later, we were all best friends lol. Seriously though, I've been through MSP probably a dozen times, all with Delta, and that terminal is very nice.
  19. Having traveled alot while being in the military, I'm alway underwhelmed by Nashville's airport, especially inside. I would propose an overhaul of the interior atleast. I say this because as I travel almost all the airports I visit are generally nicer. I submit airports like Minneapolis and Detroit (yes Detroit) as examples of interior designs that are very nice. Maybe I'm wrong though. I just see the mundane interior and limited offerings for travelers becoming an issue down the road when larger carriers and traveler population increase.
  20. If you are walking into the front of the Renaissance, take a left, around the escalators and continue down the corridor. I'm pretty sure the ballrooms in question are on the right. If so, then yes they front Commerce St. There is a kind of lobby/mixer area in front of the entrance to the first ballroom. It's been a few years since I've been there. Oh and hello everyone. rarely post but check for updates daily. You all are how I keep up with things from Belgium. Cheers!
  21. I'm still unsure why the choice was made to widen 65 by goose creek versus widening elsewhere like briely to sam ridley on 24. According to the graph, that stretch is more heavily used than the latter. Plus, Rutherford County is the fastest growing county in question within the Metro area.
  22. Charlotte should be included, but being a Nashvillian whose city is arguable one of the most trending city in the nation, how can Time not include Nashville? city pop is 650k+ metro is 1.8m+ avg income to cost of living is great... oh and we have two pro sports teams that are extremely well supported (lookin at you Columbus)
