  1. This may be the only case where the minor league MSA population is larger than the major league MSA.
  2. I’ll never forget passing this building on my daily commute and when it was marked for demolition someone wrote in big letters on the window “Tempus Fugit”. Pretty poignant. By the way, what business was in here?
  3. Yes retrofit Nissan or redo and skip the fairgrounds. Just call it a MLS stadium (to check that box for them) that also just happens to be NFL ready
  4. Just remind the ATL folks tomorrow that at least we still have our hockey team.
  5. Several CLEAR jobs posted on LinkedIn for BNA recently. Exciting for frequent fliers!
  6. I heard a rumor that Southwest may want all C&D gates at BNA. That’s a large increase in footprint. I’m surprised they announced the OKC route going daily when the MAX issue isn’t resolved. They have to be much pickier about their expansion plans these days. Glad it’s been a success!
  7. This topic has more views than at least 4 of the pinned topics.
  8. I wonder where Austin Bergstrom will end up for 2018. I bet we are close.
  9. If I did my math correctly after the Southwest expansion comes in June ‘19 BNA will earn a spot on SWA’s Top Ten cities served. That’s assuming nothing changes elsewhere between now and then.
  10. Sorry yes it must have been a connecting flight that read Birmingham as I walked by. My bad.
  11. I’d like a San Jose, CA direct on some airline. Was just there and Birmingham has a direct on United...
  12. I like how this building pulls the skyline together but it definitely lacks a crown of some sort.
  13. I flew United out of BNA for the first time in years. I was surprised that the BNA-DEN route was still flying on a small CRJ-700 because Denver is a hub. I thought United was upgrading its service to larger planes for all routes out of BNA?
  14. Someone should update the Nashville wikipedia page (I do not know how to do it) with our new Jan. 15, 2012 population estimates found here: http://www.bizjournals.com/bizjournals/on-numbers/scott-thomas/2012/01/population-of-new-york-city-area.html?appSession=17789364184771 Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin area is now at 1,639,245 and moved up to 37th largest metro in the US from 38th in 2010.
  15. I can already feel Nashville dropping off a list of modern US cities after reading this. http://www.theatlanticcities.com/commute/2011/10/streetcar-named-desire/380/
  16. I share your sentiments. This was a pretty big disappointment to me. Dean knows he would be out of office by the time a build out of a streetcar rail system would be finished. This is putting valuable money to work for buses. Enough said.
  17. My vote would be for a location that is walkable from Downtown office buildings and the Convention center.
  18. I would challenge everyone to watch this video with Tony Giarratana and the Dean of the Lipscomb Business School. Yes it is 40 minutes long but I have a whole new perception of TG and his vision for Nashville. He is a huge advocate for changing the physical landscape of our city and has shaped the way it looks today. Keep dreaming Tony!
  19. This looks a lot like a building I drove by in Evansville a couple of years ago.
  20. Now if I only lived in Donelson.....this would be relevant. http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/content/...n-station-fares
