Stoa Group bought the 13-acre site from Windy Gladney in a deal that closed Wednesday, said Clay Furr with Momentum Commercial Real Estate. Plans are to build The Waters at Millerville, a 295-unit apartment development on the site, Furr said. Construction is set to begin in early 2022.
  2. Y'all may have figured it out but I have a little part-time job at Old Navy Cortana. Unfortunately it's shutting down at the end of January. They said the store's profitable but it just isn't in a desirable location anymore. Their reasoning is understandable but it's still sad to have something end that you've been a part of for a long time.
  3. Cool. I was wondering what was going to happen to that old tower, glad to see it redeveloped.
  4. Sunset and sky pics are my favorite!
  5. Cool! With the retail climate how it is, I thought this portion was over with.
  6. https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/business/article_b742833a-3da9-11ec-aea5-cfc1e8107f8e.html Crunch Fitness set to open first Louisiana location in Hammond Aire The fitness center has signed a lease for a 40,000 square foot space at 9650 Airline Highway that had been occupied by Stein Mart, said Will Chadwick of Elifin Realty. Chadwick represented the landlord in the deal.
  7. Three-story office building to be developed on Main Street Louisiana REALTORS commissioned and is planning to develop an office building at 861 Main Street, on the corner next to the association’s current office. business report
  8. Smh, I can imagine. Yup, I've seen them too. I want to be sympathetic and don't really want to speak against homeless people; but I do wonder if they actually want to do better and if not who's responsibility that is or isn't.
  9. Oh yeah, so much happens in a year I really forgot about those protests. I have personally heard something similar from law enforcement officers.
  10. Hmm, I guess the student has really surpassed the teacher (New Orleans)? I don't see them on the list. I don't know what they expect to do though. In theory people have to make a choice to stop or.... To be conspiratorial, frankly I don't think they want to killing to stop. For one they could stop promoting/producing trashy elements of pop culture that activate people's weaknesses, but that'd stop the cash flow. Then of course fear is a control mechanism. If the middle class is scared of the crime element then they'll call on the top echelon for help. Or move somewhere else which further drives the economy (new construction, etc).
  11. Some of the plans were derailed because the land flooded/ was covered with water.
  12. Lol! I didn't know all the background but I figured it had something to do with competition.
  13. Cool! I figured it'd just be another car lot?
  14. I was wondering how this was going along? I guess it'll go through.
  15. Yes, a generator and cool is a beautiful thing... but that cost and upkeep is a killer. My power went out but came back Wednesday night, so I'm grateful or wasn't longer. A tree fell in my parents yard but it feel away from the house which was a blessing.
  16. Sure was weird. I'm so glad they got the power back on, Entergy did a good job
  17. Well the powers out and might be out for some weeks? I guess we'll see how things go.
  18. An upper cut is right. The projected lines seems to have the eye almost going over my house. All we can do is have faith and prepare at this point.

I revisited the zoos master plan which states the zoo will be finished in 2046. I hate to be negative but...I wonder if that means it'll even actually be finished.

    Lafayette

Wow those are nice, I'm happy for them! It's probably been a long time since they've built any towers in Lafayette. Hopefully it actually gets done.
