It'd be nice if they could just put up a gate or something. It'd be one thing if they were neat about their encampment but even when it starts out neat it always devolves.

My feelings were hurt when Canes closed. Downtown could def use atleast like 5 more eating options.

Th e student have some pretty decent options around LSU. Crazy to think its been over 10 years since I was there and aprx 18 since I've been on this site, lol!

That hilarious they actually put "suburb" in the name! Yes unfortunately the post Katrina - pre Recession golden age is over and with falling birth rates I think our fate is to in fact remain an over grown country town.

Catastrophically busy is a very good word for it, I wonder where another good location could be? Before the recession they planned to build a Target in Gonzales, Arlington near LSU and Juban in Denham Springs.

Well.... It's nice they're getting something. I don't know if it fits in with BRCC but like Cajun said at least it blends nicely with Florida Blvd.

Yes indeed, I didn't know that you have to report street lights on major thoroughfares. -
I agree, I don't think that name really fits BR or most of LA. I think the old Kingfishers would have been a better general LA name.

LOL! I was wondering what was up with those flowerbeds just last month. Although to be fair with the way our weeds grow its hard for anybody.

I was trying not to be critical but it appears they changed the plan which makes me wonder what else they changed (cut). I guess the price of construction has gone up a lot but I was suspicous of how nice this would be after they wanted to move it and it was voted against.

Yup, a few. Not terrible but still not great when you're used to the former resident that kept things up.
