  1. Awesome!!!! Sad I'll never see this museum because of it's location, but that's great news.
  2. So all the crime is cool with you? That's why I left New York. Big city living is terrible. You never feel safe and that's how it's starting to feel here in Nashville.
  3. Ugh!!! I wish they would stop building so people will stop moving here. Hate it here now with all these people.
  4. I definitely get it. As someone who spent six years in school to get my degree in Architecture, I'm quite aware of what 2nd Ave is. The problem I have is using tax dollars to rebuild it. The owners of those structures should rebuild especially during a time where our property taxes are up, the city is already broke, and we're in a global pandemic. I'm sorry a lunatic destroyed 2nd Ave, but our tax dollars have higher priorities. Maybe if the city invested in mental healthcare centers for the community instead of focusing on the well-being of tourists, then maybe we wouldn't be having this discussion.
  5. I could care less about Nashville's brand. I'm trying to put my money into my retirement, not 2nd Ave, the Gulch, etc. Those areas are not even for a certain demographic in the city, but that seems to be where our tax dollars are focused. Shameful!!!
  6. I hope they're not using tax dollars for rebuilding second Ave. Surely these businesses have good insurance policies. They already increasing property taxes. I'd rather they just bulldoze everything down and make it a parking lot than use our tax dollars to rebuild it.
  7. Weird!!! Why didn't they put this museum in the location of the new African American Music Museum and the African American Music Museum in this location close to Jefferson St. I'll never get to visit the African American Music Museum because of its location on Broadway.
  8. These restaurant choicesare terrible. These same eateries exist in other areas of the city so why not restaurants where they hire chefs who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris instead of cooks who graduated from Antioch High school?
  9. I hope they build a Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf's on that lot that LGBT owns. Perfect opportunity now.
  10. Which bars/clubs/venues on Broadway are minority friendly? Is there a list somewhere?
  11. That's why I voted for Cooper. I think the people in the Gulch will survive without the bridge and from what I've seen down there, many of them could use the extra walking to get to SoBro.
