Uptown Charlotte Project Rundown

Someone, I forget who, editing the skyline as seen from the North (railyard) and added the additional buildings but after searching I can't seem to find it. Anyone?

Here is where I posted that pic that you are referring to. I superimposed it on one of metro's photos.

If it isn't showing up, I may have to repost it tonight (I can't tell one way or another at the moment because of my firewall at work).

shouldn't berkman be taller, we did count 32 stories on the new renderings.

Yeah, before those renderings, it was unclear how tall it would be.

I also think I am too generous to the Vue on height.

But you can just make the adjustments in your mind :).

It's really a marvelous way to see where the new projects will be in the skyline!

I'm quite thrilled to see Charlotte's mind boggling evolution, even from afar (Seattle) thanks to sites like this:)

Here is the mockup of the southerly view from NoDa if the current proposed projects go up as hoped.

This was superimposed over one of Metro's photographs.

That view with Metro's pic from 30th is going to be amazing in 2012 with a LRT vehicle in the foreground and all these plus more buildings in the background.

I agree. I am hoping by then Levine might have finally started to develop some of his land. Plus we totally are omitting the new tower by Novare in metro's altered pic.

A2

2012 can't come soon enough !!!

:) Contrary to popular belief, I don't have time on my hands to update every image I ever did when something new comes out. I save those chores for rainy days, and we haven't had any.

But yes, A2, Twelve would hypothetically be in that skyline image, if hypothetically I changed it :).

would you tho, isn't it beside 7th st. station? so it would be just off the picture, I'll put it in another picture. I am in FL with a buncha people for my Spring Break and we have internet access here, so during the day when we are not partying this what I'm doing, hehe, sitting on the beach and doing this.

should I make the twelve look like atlantic station? or what?

The Vue is one block south from where you show it....it's at 5th and Pine (and probably would be hidden by Hearst from this angle)

The Park would barely show up over the southern tip of the C-M Govt. Center.

The Citadin probably wouldn't show up.

The Ritz-Carlton would appear just over the top of the arena, just a bit higher than the Holiday Inn (1 block north)

Also, Courtside is now finished, though in this pic its only on the 6th floor or so.

I love the view in this picture....was it from the Presby parking deck, or the old medical building that was just demolished?

Edit.....also, the new Wachovia is probably just a little south from where you have it in this pic.

yeah, you're probably right. it would be just off the picture. As long as you're having a cocktail while you're playing on the computer, i won't give you a hard time. That is, after all, what spring break is all about. :) Can't wait to see the other pictures.

Excellent work. In addition to what others have said, I think 210Trade would also be a little south. It spans almost the entire block. so might be a little wider, at least equal in width to Charlotte Plaza. It would definitely cover where you can see the OCC pyramids.

If aloft goes at Trade and College, you might be able see it from this angle.

I agree that New Wach should go a little south and be wider. The floorplates are roughly the same size as Heart's upper level floor plates, so you might be able to use that as a gauge.

The Nascar tower would be south of the stucco Hilton Garden Inn complex.

You would also probably be able to see a sliver of Trademark behind Carillon, and a sliver of Avenue behind IJL.

You wouldn't see twelve in this frame, but you should definitely figure out a way to widen the photo :).

Have fun.

if you go to the webcam pic of 210 trade on October 5th it shows a rendering from the back of the project, thats what I used as a reference, if that picture is correct then my drawing is correct.

and I thought about it and looked at a the map of downtown that dubone made, and yea with linear perspective and everything, the vue pops out a little between hearst and bank of america corp, so it is still visible, horray :-D
