Great shots Nate. How cool to see Tiger Stadium on UP! You have an impressive zoom lens to get the "eye of the Tiger" at mid-field.

Yes we were just a stone's throw or an easy football pass away from each other at the game; bec. I was on the edge of section 614. That's kinda' crazy. It would have been no problem meeting you.

Brian, I would recommend you to at least once go to a LSU football game on a Saturday night if you can. Like you said, it's all about the atmosphere; even if somebody is not a big football fan, they would still probably enjoy it; there's just a buzz in the air! And it ain't the alcohol, but there is plenty of that. :shades:

That's simply awesome Nate. Thanks for posting this. I love the view of downtown BR from the western-upper deck too! My binoculars get a work-out.

The only thing that's hurts the skyline from this angle is the city's 4th tallest high-rise(Riverside North) cannot be seen bec. it's directly behind it bigger/older brother Chase Bank Tower.

But the skyline will dramatically improve from that angle.

*The new II City Plaza will partially block the State Capitol and left-side of Chase . The proposed II City Plaza will be approved at the planning meeting next Monday Oct.2nd.

*The new courthouse (next to) the right of the Governmental Bldg.

*RiverPlace will tower between the Hilton Capitol Center and the La Salle State Bldg.

Is was about to post something about that. That guyed mast is 1700+ feet tall. :shok: I knew it was tall, but not that tall. I'm sure your all tired of me talking about this, but just think that Burj Dubai will be like two of those masts on top of each other. That just completely baffles me.

1700+ feet tall? Holy crap... I actually figured it was just a mile or so from the stadium, making it appear that tall. To be honest I don't recall seeing a tower that tall in Baton Rouge.

Wow, man, THAT is an awesome capture!! Not something you see everyday. I wonder what caused the fire!?

Ain't it something? ;)

I really don't know what caused the fire, but thankfully no one was injured. However, I am happy that I had my camera out and nearby. :D
