I saw an episode of Madern Marvels that featured a crane just like the one in in use here. The whole crane, built in Germany, is able to fold in on itself and drive away, like any other truck, to the next construction site. But it's capable of working on a building up to 15 stories in height. Very cool!

Drove by tonight and they're installing windows. They look a little cheap to me, but I'll give it some time before passing a final judgement.

After what seemed like kind of a lull, the siding has started going on this project. It's actually pretty cool looking.

It looks all right. Funny that you posted that GrDad, I just noticed yesterday that they were starting on siding after what seemed like several months of no activity at all. Glad to see things moving along!

I think the siding makes it look like a motel, maybe once it's done it will look better.

im kinda excited to see the colorful part; alot of grand rapids seems so bland (colorwise) I think itll spice stuff up

It probably looks worse than it is because it's so cloudy in the picture. It looking a little better than I thought it would though. I'll have to wait for the finish to make a final opinion.

I walked by here the other day and I have to say that this building looks MUCH better than I thought it would. And it looks like it's almost ready to open.

I like this building. The one thing I think is odd is that the second story (with the red columns) doesn't seem to be a patio. It looks like it is set back enough to be a patio, but there are no doors. I guess by the renderings I always thought they would be patios.
