The first diagrams on the axons look a bit strange for professional renderings. Parts of the building farther away are not drawn smaller (in perspective).  Question for our architects here: Are the perspectives intentionally distorted to emphasize certain elements, or are they just bad drawings.

They are not renderings or perspective drawings. Those are generic Axon views with consistent coloring on the materials. These are to show overall massing of the building and are a direct view from our design software. Nothing overly time consuming or presentation worthy like the renderings we are so used to seeing. The intent of these drawings at the front of a CD set are so the contractor has an overall idea of what the building should look like.

Appreciate the insight! Broadstone is super annoying in that aspect for people like us, they don't seem to ever release actual renderings for their projects. Broadstone SoBro only had black and white diagrams to go off of and it's the same story with their new building nearby. It doesn't seem like a very professional way to conduct business but it is what it is.

You have to consider who the renderings are marketed to (it's not UrbanPlanet). Office and condo towers tend to spend more time on renderings because they are marketing collateral for future owners/tenants (who are in turn providing funding sooner via purchases/lease deals). In contrast there aren't too many people lining up to rent an apartment based on a nice rendering and even if they were they're only providing a small deposit.

You're definitely right, I can't argue with that logic. It's more of a personal gripe than anything as a very visual person.

This is not an ordinary tower crane, as the crane itself rises so in effect it is a Luffing Crane as well as a Tower Crane. I saw it in the Luffing mode while driving past earlier today.

These types of cranes may become more and more common as more and more cranes are utilized in the city. Because the boom can rise it does not need to jump in height as often. Very common with high rises of the big cities
