<_< South Financial group might unload the new Carolina First corporate headquarters at ICAR that's currently being built. GSA has an article quoting the interim CEO about their plans. Because of the huge hits they've taken in 08' and ones that they expect to take in 09' (huge hit in the bad loans sector within the florida market) they're considering selling non earning assets. They're under the review phase now about whether they want to sell it, lease out a portion or if they still want to move into it. Per the article they'll make a decision about what they want to do this quarter.

I can't say that this is too surprising. Companies in Greenville love their suburban space, so there shouldn't be too much problem finding people to take up space or buy it.
