I love our boat trolly

Hey Zahc,

The photograph with the sea of houses and the skyline in the distance is a stunning composition. Almost like an abstract painting, yet figurative. It really shows the population density of San Franciso, my favorite city. And, by the way, you're becoming my favorite photographer on Urban Planet!

Keep up the wonderful work

I love the Blackpool Boat! Curious as to how fast it goes? Does it keep up with normal streetcars or is the speed regulated more due to it being open?

As always, great photos!

Thanks, Neo! ...I'm not sure of the boat's speed save it does seem to fly down the street as if it was some kind of nautical illusion flying on the street surface on that most rarest of occasion it's spotted....Muni tends to use the popular trolley only on the sunniest or warmest days, which was built in England in 1934 for Blackpool Tramways...What's funny is that I saw the same driver on Sunday on another F-Line (a Philadelpia trolley from 1948) and figured he must have been in a bad mood when he shouted rather meanly at a group of tourists to not pull the stop signal until after we had left the stop we were waiting seemingly forever...

That photograph is a true masterpiece! It gives one the feeling of being in a giant ice cube, but then one sees the wing of the bird, and it's a whole different world. Or is it the fin of a fish? It's magical!

...A "Magical" thought. I am inspired as a full moon is descending behind Twin Peaks...but too tired to capture it after dinner/drinks in North Beach last night...Thanks!
