This looks good, upscale, and similar to the now overused and meaningless term Town Center developments nationwide. Anyway, it does look really good. Is the announced development at Clemmons similar, I wonder? Also, I wonder if this is the sort of thing that will end up at the Hanes Plant site on Strattford, if that area can absorb anymore retail?

This place looks like it is going to be amazing (it also reminds me of Birkdale Village in Huntersville). My fiance and I just recently purchased a home nearby, so I am very excited to know we will have such a great shopping complex to go to (hopefully by next year).

If you look at the site plan above, it shows some of the planned streets making connections with existing roads. There is a possibility that there could be connectivity, but not likely due to possible neighbor opposition. IMO Expect this to develop like Robinhood Village (Walgreens, Harris Teeter, BB&T/Wachovia, etc.)

Here is a PDF marketing packet for UTC:

One interesting thing I noticed from the reading is that Core is anticipating the Union Cross / I-40 interchange to become an SPUI (Single Point Urban Interchange) as well as the addition of a new traffic light on UC.

On a side note, new signs have been posted around the site bordering 40:

Yesterday, I took a drive out to Kernersville to check out the progress that has been made on several retail and residential projects. To my surprise I found that Moses Cone has completed its new medical center off of 66. I recall reading about a battle between Moses Cone and Novant to have medical centers out there, but I wasn't aware that they had put up their building so FAST!
