I-777 proposed for Triad. From I-40 in Winston-Salem through Yadkinville.

this would mean that the 2 core counties of the Triad Forsyth and Guilford would have all these interstate highways:

I-40 I-85 I-73 I-74 I-285 I-274 I-840 I-785 proposed I-685 and now proposed I-777  could have 10 interstates!

This project is more of a precursor project to the new Palladium South project that will go across the street from the current Palladium shopping center. The Palladium South project has appeared to be at a bit of a standstill lately but hopefully getting the road moving will help glide things along. My hunch is that the apartments will go up fairly quickly (2-3 years) but that the retail element may take several years beyond that to truly gain any ground. Heck, Palladium still has a fair number of empty spaces (such as the old cafeteria where an Asian restaurant has been "going in" for well over a year now, the old Ham's, and the spot on the other side of the theater from the burger joint).

This new road though will give at least an alternate way in for those coming up or down Eastchester versus being required to turn onto Wendover, which would cause even more calamity than what is already there.
