From Bryant Park on Westside today from walking tour.

Took Morehead to access Atrium Main this week (thank goodness I had some time to spare as it was a slow go at 940). I've always loved this approach by the stadium and that it's sort of the "gateway" to Southend in many respects. Also the overpass is impressive and loud. Looking towards The Pearl felt like I was a visitor to the city as it was my first view of it from a distance. I think it's safe to say that Charlotte has grown up. And for the most part, very nicely.

In the very first photo, where you have the fence and the grassy area, is where there used to be a mine shaft. It was capped with concrete years ago.  No idea what they did with it when the stadium was built.

I think Queensbridge is the initial salvo that will lead to capping some of the freeway.
