Charlotte Photo of the Day

I tried to make a day to night transition timelapse of the sunset this evening.  The long exposure frames at the end take forever, and I wish I had let it run a bit longer.

Nice, how long did you let this run?

There were 3 NS trains that passed within 4-6 seconds between each and I was just curious as to what that frequency was in real-time.

With all the hope of building on the horizon, I thought it'd be fun to reflect on where we were just 15 years ago.  I'm assuming this is sometime around 1998, but I'm not certain.  Can someone say SURFACE LOTS.

201 N. Tryon isn't even under construction, and Panthers Stadium looks BRAND SPANKING NEW. This was probably 1995. so 18 years ago. We were such an adorable 4 block wide city.

Wow. It looks like a desert with exception to BofA Corp Center (might of still been Nationsbank back then) and a few others.

How old do you reckon that is?  I think I can see the Paper Co instead of the park.  And the yellow/purple condo thing is much more complete now, isn't it?

Sorry my airplane was damaged in a freak accident, so I had to take my time machine to a time when my airplane wasn't broken, so that I could snap this picture. ;-)

nowensone, while I do like that compilation, i think the artist stayed on some cloud scenes too long.  Just a fair critique, I'm not trying to be mean.  I also feel that I ran the sunset scene too long at the end of my charlotte compilation.  lets vote!  LOL.  thank you all for watching.

ok, this one is even better IMO.  Last nights snapped 1800 photos, so i was able to compile it at 29 frames per second, which is DVD quality.  Let me know what you think please.  The link views in HD, but the embedded video would need to be changed to HD by using the little gear button.
