Hotel Indigo under inspection, set to open today

Hotel Indigo, downtown Baton Rouge's newest lodging option, is undergoing inspection in preparation for an expected opening later today. The 93-room hotel is located at the corner of Convention and Lafayette streets. Hotel Indigo, part of the giant InterContinental Hotels Group that includes Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, will employ between 50 and 60 people. The property had been the Hotel King before a $25 million renovation that started in September 2009. The hotel features such amenities as wireless Internet access in every room and a bistro featuring fresh produce and locally grown foods.

I took a good look at the Hotel Indigo the other day and its actually a pretty nifty little building.

With the grand opening of the Indigo + the film festival at the Shaw Center for the Arts til 6:00a.m.; tonight really does have that 24-7 vibe in the vicinity! Lafayette Street at Convention St has become a hip intersection...Can't wait to check it out at night!

I saw the lobby from Lafayette, looks like something that should be in New York! I loved it, looked so good on that corner too.

Same here...drove by it the night it opened...the view of the lobby looked nice from Lafayette Street!

Didn't really get to check it out...it was slow being mid afternoon on Good Friday. But that pic doesn't do the lobby justice...it's nice!
