Dambra Construction has announced plans to build a 500,000 sq. ft office park and 320 room hotel adjacent to the intermodal train station at TF Green Airport.

Completion would be by 2012 according to an article in ProJo last week.

Runway extension at TF Green Airport in Warwick. Proposal to lengthen runway to 9250 ft. Which will allow larger jets to take off to the West Coast and Europe.

Projected completion date 2012.

i don't think the proposal is for 9250 at this point. i wanna say it's something like 8300 or 8500.

It should be any day now! And we haven't added it to the list. This will be across the intersection from the proposed NE Tech Campus in East Greenwich.

The West Warwick Senior Center is rapidly being built and should be completed later this year.

Nothing new at the Shripwreck Falls site. But I heard that the project is out to bid.

i was being sarcastic. i hardly think the opening of a new chain restaurant in warwick is worth mentioning.

Brown has announced it's plans for a new four story Brain Research Center to be built on Angel St. according to today's ProJo. This is contigent on moving two historic structures to new locations. No completion date was mentionned.

If the Texas Road House is not worth mentioning than why is a laundry so special? Or is the food very good here.

it's supposedly a fine dining type restaurant. i think there's more info about it in the dining reviews forum. texas roadhouse is just another chain with mediocre bbq.

Not to mention that if we included every chain restaurant opening in RI, it would be a thread about suburban franchise eateries, which is sorta, well, not what this forum is about in any way.

The ones listed were really on there because they were part of other, significant building projects (Gtech, Westin II, etc.).

Maybe someone wants to create there own thread and keep track of the changes of restaurants in Providence or something. To be fair, I'm dropping the ones from the above list.
