Fine with me. To be honet, in its location, I think the height is just right. It should make a nice corner edge to the downtown area. Imagine having this 40 story building totally isolated from all of downtown.... it would look pretty dumb in my book.

just my $0.02

And I want them to built 4-5 more towers on their site of varying heights, and slightly different designs. I can't believe the city is going to be stuck with one tower on this giant piece of land. This is a superblock if you've never seen one before. It's like they took the RenCen's footprint, but with half the space and "umph."

I don't think I'll ever be pleased with this one. lol Especially since this whole complex looks like it would fit better at the Motor City site, the Southfield Town Center, or some other suburban freeway exit. lol

I dont mind the tower and it is basically what i expected. I would like to see how it sits in a site plan though. That would be a true indicator of how suburban this thing is gonna look. I saw the MGM Grand Macau right after the Detroit rendering and I thought that would look cool in Detroit. If something is going to be isolated at least make it unique.

Im wondering if MGM will explore condo/residential possibilities here in Detroit like they are in other cities. With all of the land over by the Casino they could create a district that all shares a similar theme. I hoping too that after the final Casino is built that developers look to connect that area to foxtown.

This is the site plans posted on the Fab Ruins.

Wow seeing where that tower is, and how big it is compared to the rest of the site im not liking this as much anymore. I thought it would take up more of the site but that rendering is just from a quirky perspective. I hope Greektown turns out much more urban than MGM.
