I was trying to reserve judgement until they got the glass in, but the building doesn't really look like what was presented in the rendering. I agree, it does look smaller. Hopefully once they add the finishing touches things will get better.

Its proximity to the old Norfolk Acadamy building probably limits what could be done on that corner.

When I saw it, it reminded me of a suburban single family home... IDK why.

It does't add any density at all and you can barely see it, unless your standing right next to it.

Personally, I think the building looks good now that the glass is in. Recommend dropping by to view it.

Check it out night. They have several colored accent lights shining up the front of the building.

Respectfully disagree. I think it blends nicely with Chrysler Hall and indeed has an urban feel. But that's just me.

I totally forgot about this building until I noticed it on the updated version of Google Maps. From what I can see, I have to say I am really liking this building. Anyone get any recent shots of it and its surrounding areas?

they should have worked with the Wells Fargo Center. The WFC has a performing Arts Venue planned as a future phase at Bank and Charlotte. If they had worked together, WFC could have completed their block AND we would still have another space for development.

I have no issues with the development, just wish they added a spot for future retail of some sorts. Nothing big, just maybe a coffee shop or something.

What other development? It is a miracle they got this little building in where it is. Nothing really lost here except a small parking lot or a 7-11
