Interesting project I randomly came across. Four-story mixed use development adjacent to the Great Bridge Bridge with ground retail, second floor offices and 44 apartments on the third and fourth floors. This is the former Great Bridge Pharmacy site that cleared out for Off the Hook but those plans never materialized.

The Grove industrial building now has the code name Blue Firebird. Site plan filed today for a 615,600 SF distribution center developed by Panattoni Dev Co, who has built a number of Amazon centers.

Hopefully another city on the Southside will pick this up. Portsmouth could use an entertainment venue, and more hotel options downtown.  Chesapeake doesn't thinks it's residences want more enter

Chesapeake is once again exploring transit options, either express buses or light rail. As someone who lives in Greenbrier, I fully welcome either one and hope they don't "study" this to death.

It is, but I feel like Chesapeake doesn't listen to their NIMBYs as much as VA. Beach listens to theirs. They've pushed through several developments over objections, so I think this has a good chance of coming to fruition.
