This would get my vote as the worst section of sidewalk downtown

Not a great gateway to Monroe Center for pedestrians or bicyclists (or even pigeons for that matter). Anyone know what all the wooden stakes in Memorial (?) Park right there are for?

hehehehe Jeff doesn't care what you shoot, he's tired of doing all the work himself

No, I don't mind MJLO. In fact, I have about 40 - 50 pics I just took today that I'll dump in this thread when I get a chance. It's amazing how many subjects you can find in a 2 block walk around downtown. It's fantastic!

For all of you who've been looking for an opportunity to get photos downtown, today is the day! The weather is almost perfect and makes for great pictures. High pressure system combined with white puffy clouds.

I'm going to try and make it out to catch any more "Otterness sightings".

Umm, I don't think so. I think it's an older black gentleman.

There's a third sax player that somethings hangs out by the bookstore on Fountain or by Two Choppers. He's not very good.

Here's a bit of urban history. Before Two Choppers (Monroe Center and Ottawa) there was a store called Otto Poppers. Two Choppers only had to buy a "W" a "C" and an "H" to change the name. That building was built in 1869 as the Wilson and Harvey Drug Store. It was the first storefront in Grand Rapids to use large (6' x 12') glass.
