As someone from Arcadia, it deserves SO much better given its location (Startex I have similar sentiments about, both for location and more personal and historic reasons).  I think it picked up a little momentum with both Loft projects/the art studio and even both Dollar General and Family Dollar/Dollar Tree opening stores plus Bubba's BBQ adding to the food scene.  Maybe better marketing off the Interstates and 29/Blackstock Road near the Mall?  (Billboards, road signs, etc).  I think once the Business 85 project is complete next year, that would be a good time for some of my ideas to come to fruition (provided the budget is there and others agree).

Side note: if it can be done, I think a small park down at Fairforest Creek under the Spring St/Hayne St bridge would be amazing).  Maybe another one behind the Chapman Art Studio/post office/former fire dept?

I want what's best for my little mill towns/hometown!
